Entering August

Hello, my lovelies! It's been a while, hasn't it?

First thing's first: The Tumblr's back up! Apparently, I reblogged a link the modbots didn't like. They thought I was a non-mod bot! Silly modbots.

Second: We passed the $275 milestone!

I literally don't have words afsagsdhlm stop being so nice to me! I'm absolutely floored at how wonderful and generous my readers are. I feel like I won the lottery. So, we're at the next pledge goal. What does that mean? It means I'll have something to plug away at as soon as the gamebook is completed!

The Tumblr compilation will be basically that: An easier-to-read collection that helps readers sort through the many lore posts, character posts, and generally irrelevant smut. There's a lot of setting info, like the Horny War and the Mindweaver's Guild, that has almost never come up in my chapters, so it's gonna be nice to be able to get a little more organized with that stuff.

This little project will also give me a chance to tidy up my Tumblr, properly tagging old posts in the process. I'll be able to review all the lore I've written and finally draw a full map for your perusing pleasure!

Fourth: An update on the gamebook. I'm about halfway through the first segment of the gamebook—a fairly simple first chapter in which the hero awakens in a strange room and is greeted by a lovely imp with a couple secrets to trade.

Now, I have mixed feelings about releasing these chapters publicly, considering how slow they are to write—it's not as good an experience to read a Choose Your Own Adventure story piecemeal, but the full work won't be done until winter! I'd much rather release them as one completed work, but in the meantime, my lovely patrons will have access to each segment as it's released.

Oh, and don't forget, Misty Lounge Regulars—if you want to suggest new paths for this segment, feel free at anytime from now into whenever the novella is completed! You get up to one submission per segment. :)

Fifth: New month, what up?

The plan for August is pretty humble, focused on strengthening the buffer and getting through Lounging in Ecstasy. I'm almost done drafting Part Two of Pretty as Sin, and this month's Bonus Pairing (featuring Alrek facing off against, oh, hey, another imp) will be up sometime next week!

Oh, by the way, just for clarity, my weeks start every Friday. Just so you all know how I sort my calendar. I have no explanations handy.I'm also working on drafting Intrepid Pawns. I'd love to get IP done before September, or at least get back in the swing of writing it again after all this time.

Sixth: How's it going?

It's going okay! I've gotten a lot better at hitting updates. Instead of staying up to 5:00 am every night trying to get work done, I'm getting up at 5:00 am every morning trying to get work done, and it's a lot better for my sleep schedule—and for my work life.

I've been slacking a lot on, like, my normal art and writing stuff, which makes me sad. But I'm hoping to get moving on that stuff soon, as the new schedule's effects should make it much easier to keep up with my smutty work. No more 11:59 Patreon drama! :)

Seventh: What happens September 1st?

Nothing. But on September 6th, a lovely story about Laca's "Victory AU" will go up on the Patreon. Yeah, September is gonna be a mix of backlogged commissions and hopefully trying to get back into Intrepid Pawns to finish what I started all those years ago.
