Why It's Been Quiet

Hello, my lovelies!

So, you've probably noticed that it's been pretty quiet on the update front these last two weeks. As the Lounge Regulars can tell you, it's not because I haven't been working. I've been steadily plugging away at the second chapter of the Gamebook for the last week, and as it turns out, this is gonna be a long one. As in, I've already exceeded the length of Chapter One, and I'm legitimately not sure if I'm even two-thirds done.

I'm honestly considering doing a very quick 2-3-hour edit when it's done, uploading that, and worrying about a final draft when the full gamebook is ready for release. Otherwise, I'm in danger of only getting three chapters done this month. You've all been amazing and wonderful about the update schedule, but there's also a financial side to it I have to consider: I'm not willing to drop below four updates per month, not even during NaNoWriMo. I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed. ;P

I'm super eager to get this chapter done and move on to the Bonus Pairing (Alrek versus the Thriae trio!), the twelfth Intrepid Pawns chapter, and a one-shot I've been planning for months now. For that reason, the version I charge for might not be quite as polished as what it'll look like when the full gamebook is released.

I promise there won't be, like, blatant ugly typoes or anything, and the game itself should run fairly bug-free, just like Chapter One. It'll just be deserving of a second pass when I have time. :)
