Will You Be My Valentine (Reader)?

I have a little question for my $3 pledgers tonight—I've been thinking about doing a Valentine's Day story, but I know that we generally prefer my work on established plotlines and characters to the one-shots. On the other hand, the one-shot affords more room for creativity and uncertainty—unlike with a story about, say, Larya, no one knows who'll come out "on top".
So I'll throw in a few options on this one! And please know that I am really neutral on this. I want to hear what you think!

Because 1)you writing a non ranch story doesn't mean the ranch will be forgotten. 2)your writing is incredible whether it's a series or a one-shot so if you've got an idea, go with it. And if you don't finish the story on time, don't rush it, hold on to it for next year's contest.
