State of the Goblim Address

Hello, my lovelies!

So, January is coming to a close. I have just about finished both the Bonus Pairing and Honeymoon Manor Ch. 1—they'll be posted in a double-header tomorrow, and uploaded for public consumption within the next couple weeks! I don't know how I did it, but barring Jeff Bezos's personal army of attack drones finally finding my bunker and bringing me in for questioning, it looks like I did it (bragbrag)! What a crazy month!

There are some outstanding obligations going into February, of course. First, here's a summary of what's coming next:

February Plans

• Sadly, next month will only feature four chapters, not five, due to the conniving wickedness of February's missing three days*. I'm currently planning the Feb Bonus Pairing (looks like sirens have pulled ahead for good in the poll!), a cute little Valentine's Day story, and Monstrous Ranch 18 and 19! We're finally coming up on the end of Senya's little spiral. :)
• The Bad Ends for Honeymoon Manor 1, Labyrinth of Lights, and the upcoming Bonus Pairing (well, "Mommy" and "Master" are pretty equally awful, so maybe not "Bad" per se, but I won't tell you who I'm rooting for!) will be coming out within the first week of the month! Naturally, they won't result in you being billed. Just making good on some overdue promises! :)

Next, I have a bit of a question for your consideration. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this one!

Patron Pledge Tiers Spitballin'

I've been looking into this for a little while now, and I'm now considering some new ideas for Patreon pledge tiers. Let me know if any of them jump out at you!

Flashfics: One thing I'm considering: I could allow pledgers of a certain level to see the stories early, or perhaps get sneak peaks and choose which ones get uploaded first! This would be a $1 or $2 option.

Flashfic Reader Requests: This is sort of a pseudo-commission tier—after pledging for a month to this level, readers would get to submit their own request for a single flashfic. "Requests" would have to be quite brief and vague, of course. An image would be ideal, but a short summary, or even just a list of kinks, would be totally fine. I think this would probably land at a $3 or $4 pledge tier.

Submit OCs: Now, I know there's some interest in this. Basically, at this level, readers could submit their own characters to appear in the Cloistered Lands. These wouldn't be major characters, mind you. No Senyas or Illetryses. At most, we're talking a character like Merisi—a bit part who gets one or two scenes to have fun in. I would also only slip in a cameo character where there's already a reason for them to show up. Think of it as a cameo appearance! Due to the limited space for such characters in my stories, this would probably be a $4 tier. Maybe even a $4.50 tier. For that reason, I'm not sure it's worth even exploring via Patreon, but I thought I'd bring it up as an option.

Lounging in Ecstasy Prompt-Writing/Playtesting: This is still a ways off, but as a brief reminder: A while back, we attained the $75 pledge goal, and I announced my intentions to create a gamebook with the following premise:

An adventurer awakens within the Cabin of Mist, an extradimensional haven of wickedness and temptation. He must evade witches, demons, vampires and other temptresses to find his way out of a surprisingly labyrinthine inn, aided by a secret-peddling imp who claims to be bound into his service. Who is she? And, more importantly—how did he get here? 

Well, I'm still working on the "prologue", testing the waters, etc, and as stated previously, I hope to really get to work on it come summertime. But I thought I'd just note here that the tier of "writing some of the branching-path options" is still something I have in mind. Probably a $4 tier.

I'm honestly still not sure how I'll monetize the gamebook, since, y'know, it's only gonna be one big update. I don't like charging you all multiple times for a single compact work. I might honestly just charge the Patreon once, then set a "pay what you think it's worth" rate for everyone else, kinda like some artists do on Bandcamp, to download the whole thing. Those who want to pay can; those who don't can choose not to. :)

Upcoming Anniversary

So, we're coming up on the one-year anniversary of when I started my Tumblr account (and thus set into motion the entire process of starting this Patreon). I was thinking about creating some sort of compilation; i.e., adding all my smutty posts to the Vault in one big PDF, with some indexing to make it easier to read about the world or track down particular stories. Sort of a way to celebrate while also making it easier for my lovelies to read my year's-worth of Tumblr content unimpeded by memes and politics! ;P

What are your thoughts on that? Would it be worth the time and effort? And if not, what are your ideas on how to mark the occasion?

Thank you so much for reading through all this! You really are such fantastic and wonderful readers, and you've done so much to help me get through the last year—and even earlier than that, for many of you! 2016 and 2017 were rough times for everyone. I feel so absolutely blessed to have you all to support me, financially, yes, but also just in terms of your words of encouragement and thoughtful feedback. I wish you a wonderful 2018. :) 

*Where are they, and what are they hiding?
