Early Bird: Evergreen Treats, Chapter 01

In which Gretel finds himself captivated by the sweet charms of a lovely lake-fae. Surely helping her retrieve some silly necklace isn't going to get him into trouble, even the fog is getting awfully... heavy...

Hello, my lovelies! Sorry we missed last week; executive dysfunction was hitting pretty hard. I'm feeling much better now, and excited for this new series!

Coming Soon

So, the second chapter of this series is already drafted, but I'm not sure what's coming next. A few possibilities:

• Evergreen Treats, Ch. 02
• A follow-up on one of the other series, like Winter Rose or Minding Her Manor.
• I also have a reediting project underway for Edentide Garden and a mini-rewrite of Wicked Amusement--specifically, of the "Suisshu/Balabar Bad End".
• A multi-part commission I'm quite excited to turn to.

The "Gretel vs. Holstaur" Bonus Pairing is currently underway, but I wouldn't expect to see it too soon. Maybe later in the month. It's become a pretty involved project, and it may see some heavy tweaking from the original request, but hopefully it's faithful enough for everyone's liking! I'm really excited about it. You'll see why soon.

Next week I'll be away on a trip, but I'll be queuing up a special treat for you all: Jenny's Bad End! Yeah, I wrote up a version where Gretel lost this one before settling on the alternative. The Bad End isn't huge, but I hope people like it; it'll be up next Saturday!

Anyways, I really hope you enjoy this latest chapter! The twist at the end is something I've actually been planning for quite a long time, and I'm super thrilled to finally get around to it!

Next Time: Gretel gets directions from his mysterious rescuer. Ignoring them will lead him to a surprise encounter with a very pretty girl, which, really, can only mean good things, can't it?
