Welcoming a Co-Conspirator & Removing Stories

Hello, my lovelies!

So, I'm sorry if I'm been quiet on here lately. My ability to shift between tasks on an hour-to-hour basis has been a little limited, so a lot of Patreon management has taken a backseat to the actual writing and editing.

Actually, that's sort of the subject of today's post. A week ago, a conversation with a friend and long-time reader led to me recruiting them to help with a lot of this bookkeeping stuff. Princess Pengy will be helping with the uploading of stories, scheduling sessions, and getting regular Patreon items like the BP Requests posts up on time. She's also helping me assemble a more organized archive and get everything tagged, so to everyone always asking me for a better way of browsing stories, that's on the way! I'm quite excited about this. I'll let her introduce herself, though:

I'll be handling a lot of the communications moving forward regarding new posts, scheduling, and all that other busywork so as to keep our lovely goblin a little less tied up. Story Removal

"Evergreen Forest" and "Shifty Characters" have been taken down from public viewing. This wasn't my original plan for them; the ideal I sat on for a while was a full re-editing (with an acknowledgement of what the originals were like), but that's a lot of labor on stories that I simply don't like very much, and I realized the stories were turning into albatrosses.

To be clear, there's stuff in both of these stories I like, and I hate to remove such foundational texts for the Cloistered Lands and Alrek/Larya canon, but they just really aren't what I want new readers to see. Editing these stories so they can be posted to the Patreon will now be a long-term goal.

Shifty Characters is a lot easier to salvage. It's shorter, and the bad elements are less pervasive--mainly one really bad sequence. I have an upcoming flashfic specifically dedicated to that scene's rewrite. We might hope to see Shifty Characters pop up on the Patreon over the next couple months.

As for Evergreen Forest, the Alrek/Larya canon has always been defined by missing details. Consider the story of how Alrek, Anna, Nipper and Yilra teamed up, and how the Chosen came to the Evergreen Forest, to now be among those lost secrets. At least for now.
