March Agenda

Hello, my lovelies! It's a new month, and this one is actually normal-sized! I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter of the month—lamias really are a blast to write. :)

Upcoming in March

This March, the following updates are planned:

The AltEnd to "The Prince's Bride" will be posted next. I'd hoped to finish it today, but today ended up being a "Patreon bookkeeping day".

Next, the second chapter (and basically conclusion) of "Violets and Roses" will be released. I'm hoping to get it done around Sunday or Monday.

Next week, we're going to see the next Bonus Pairing: Goblin maid twins vs. a shy, naive mage!

In the third week, we'll conclude The Prince's Bride.

In the fourth week, I'll be posting a new commissioned story about an adventurer and a mischievous mistlemaid.

I'm also going to be running a little D&D game sometime this month for my two $69-level pledgers, a summary or tied-up transcript of which will be posted to the Vault! Plus, I have a couple short commissions to get to—just flashfics, really.

Upcoming Past March

Beyond this month, I have a lengthy queue of stories to finish and commissions to write. It looks something like this:
Doppelganger vs. Rakshasi, a two-part story I promised to a very loyal Bonus Pairing requester. This story will explore Nyaska a little and may dovetail with the main storyline.
A third chapter of Violets and Roses, commissioned to extend things a little.
A commissioned story pitting Limini the cowgirl mage against Celeste the demon.
A few more chapters of the "adventurer and mistlemaid" story have been commissioned over the coming months.
Intrepid Pawns still has a few chapters left, I swear.

These 10+ stories will likely take until around June to get through. I might actually have to start raising the cost for commissions at this rate just to get time to dedicate to the series themselves! :P

Now, you may have noticed that the Bonus Pairing slated for this month is actually... not the one that won the poll. What gives?  Well, see, the electoral college means—no, wait, that's something else.

Actually, this was a decision I made when I realized that Alrek and Larya vs. The Mad Succubus actually needs to be a significantly longer story. It's central to their arc, and always has been, though I've been putting off writing it for a while. They have only ever canonically faced one succubus together. As such, Alrek and Larya vs. Mad Succubus won't be released until at least the commissions are finished, so it can get the focus it requires.

Conclusion

February was a fairly difficult month for me—I don't want to get into it, as much of it was personal, but the shortness of the month, commission, and Patreon malfunctions just weren't very helpful. March will be a better month, and hopefully April will be even better, and gradually I will aim to get back into the chapter-a-week, altend-a-month swing of things.

Flashfics are a bit more complicated. I don't plan to scrap them completely, but I'm trying to work out how to make them work without taking up time I need to write the main stories. My main chapters are simply too long for me to just tack on mini-stories every day or week.

Comments

Yes, compiling them all is a long-term plan for me. :)

Lorelei

Sounds like a solid plan. Gives enough wiggle room for the unexpected while still outlining the future works at a steady pace. Looking forwards to it. Particularly the young mage and goblin maids one. Voted for it and so happy to see it happening!

Jay Aury

Sounds like the next few months are going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait!

Gavin Hahn

Especially excited for the Bonus Pairing! Also, do you have any plans to share all the stories from Tumblr that are no longer accessible? Or do they exist somewhere already? I can't find them anywhere and I really liked them!
