(Cancelled episode) Canadian Folklore
Added 2025-05-15 15:56:05 +0000 UTCI worked on this video concept in February of 2020--between the releases of Our Solar System and Camp Information Video. This was during the earlier stages of GHE, when I was still getting a feel for what I wanted the series to be. I wanted to explore the ways in which this extraterrestrial threat has infiltrated earth's folklore, a concept which I would later do with significantly more success in Camp Information Video. You can see early attempts to continue the themes of humanity and impersonation/mimicry, though these attempts are so hazy and aimless that it's easy to tell I didn't go into the production of the video with much planning in mind. It's not a very good video. But hey, it was fun and I was 16, and I do still quite enjoy some of the ideas. In the end though it was probably that aimlessness that made me decide to try again--I just didn't know where to take the episode.

I remember the Canadian Folklore logo from Discord years ago, absolutely jumped the moment I saw this posted! Love the ideas of altered folklore and the "I am not Benny Carson." quote equally gave me chills and made me laugh, I love it. Thank you again for sharing with us!

(I hate putting creators against each other) but there are always many times when craters just try to spit out as many episodes as possible in the hopes of building hype. It’s incredibly commendable how you value quality over quantity. Keep up the great work!
