Hey everyone,

Thanks for your patience. This episode is the longest I've done thus far (like the last three episodes lol) and I've also had a 2 week motorcycle trip inbetween.

Doing the animation for 45 minutes of screentime and try to make every shot interesting in its own right is challenging. Despite being fairly simple style it still requires adding a lot of small things by hand like the banners, text balloons, motion paths, effects, locations that hopefully make this feel immersive and polished.

Annoyingly enough with some shots that has lots of moving elements I'm already pushing the software to its limits (my hardware can handle it) and I have to optimize everything in order to get it to play back with a decent enough framerate to work with.

My workflow is gradually improving with each episode as I learn how to make these in a more efficient way each time. Also every time I add something new I can recycle it for the next episode. For example the walking titan animation I made for HH ep 1 I re-used for Vraks and in this one.

Its very engaging to do since the lore is very interesting, but also pretty much just sitting down doing the work day after day gradually chipping away at shots and editing until I come to the end of the voice acting and hope its all going to be worth it.

In this episode I really wanted the ending to hit just the right vibe with the music so it makes us feel both proud and sad for the martyred loyalist on Istvaan 3.
