I personally like Gavin & Stacey, my only issue with Josh having to watch it is there is a lot “having to be British” to understand a lot of it, referencing a lot of stuff that you’d only understand growing up British and watching British tv, that being said, if this is what the people want then we have to accept it, I don’t like come fly with it, but it is what it is, you never know, all this whinging and josh may actually end up loving Gavin & Stacey, I for one will be watching and hope that he does

There's obviously been a big change in the demographic here in the last 6 months. It explains why a show like Mid Morning Matters is now getting less than half the votes of the winner, the percentage of Partridge fans has dropped a lot since it was last voted in. Why don't we just watch G&S first and LoG after, since they are clearly the two most popular picks and have been in 2nd and 3rd for months. Looks like Life's Too short and Car Share will be after that.

Baffled by the Gavin and Stacey hate.. it’s possibly the most popular *modern* UK comedy we’ve had in years, the viewing figures for the last special prove that too. It’s obviously for an acquired taste, I personally find it hilarious. People hating are bizarre, I don’t like many of the shows here but I won’t be screaming and raving about it .. because I’m an adult 😂

Gavin & Stacey isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. It's not a show I would go out of my way to watch again but I've voted for it anyway, just to annoy the toxic people posting (that isn't aimed at people who just say it's not for them but the "it sucks and how dare people have a different opinion than me?" crowd). Edit: Just read the comments on the Derek outtakes and I'm glad I've voted for G&S as it will piss off the ignorant and arrogant pricks demanding it's taken off the poll.

Darkplace is obviously one of those shows not many have seen, going by the low votes. So to those who haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out, it's only 6 episodes, so it's not a huge commitment. Once you've seen it, come back and give it a vote, because I imagine Josh would love it and it would give a great variety to the lineup. Also ... Flight of the Conchords ... I keep recommending it in vain, not sure why it never gets on the polls, but I'll keep mentioning it!

It's not terrible but there's hundreds of British TV comedy classics that should be miles ahead of it in choices for the polls... I think there's a battle of wills between the younger ones and older viewers in here who have a more rounded view of UK TV history.

One day Hello Ladies will get picked, I hope Inside No 9 will come back on the poll at somepoint too. That show was probably the best thing on TV for the first 4 series and everyone ignored it. If Netflix bought it then no one would shut up about it, like what happened to Black Mirror. 2013's Utopia was also really good, about a government using a mostly harmless virus to scare the population into getting a vaccine that sterilised them.... topical, but the Amazon US remake sucked.

It’s doing well because a larger number of people, who subscribe to Josh’s channel voted for it. From a subscription point of view it’s good to have a diverse range of shows that cater to everyone. I’ve never got into it personally, because I only caught the odd episode, and didn’t understand the references to previous story lines. On rewatching.... Episode 1 isn’t bad. I’m just hoping the other 20 are at least as good.

I love Wallace and Gromit. However, it is not a 22-part TV series. It consists of 3 classic 30-minute episodes, made years apart from one another. And then there’s a full-length film. Everything beyond that is optional; given your limited time, I would keep it just to the 3 shows and add the film to the movie poll.

all i hope for is a bit of variety, when i first joined this patreon it was Father Ted, Bottom, Inbetweeners, Fawlty towers, a good mix - now its a lot of peter kay and ricky gervais, which is fine but makes it hard for more artiscally different shows to present to Josh. What we do in the Shadows is surprisingly low for a show shown all around the world but would make a nice break

I don't care what anyone says Gavin and Stacey has some of the most well written realistic characters in any sitcom. They all feel like real people you know and you come to love throughout the show. I cant stand Corden in anything else he does, but the endless bashing of the show and anyone who likes it is just dull at this point.

This is a bad system. You should have taken the top three or four from the last poll and shown them in order, like you do with movies. What happens in this current system is new broad mainstream shows are added every time, so they keep winning. I've lost count of how any times League of Gentlemen came 3rd or 4th place in the poll, and then it resets every poll.

Will the shows with more than 25 episodes ever be pickable in the future? It's usually pretty rare for a show to get than two seasons in the UK so when they do its usually because they are pretty phenomenal Inside number 9 is a prime example
