I only get paid £30K a year and have saved up 25K while paying all the bills myself. The people I usually see moaning have the latest iPhones and cars on finance that they cannot afford. I will buy clothes £2 each on sales and my Pixel 5 phone cost £120 used, I have a car but it cost me £500 several years ago and I will cycle to work instead of using it. I have unlimited data phone contract that is £7 a month because I wait for a good deal and it's only 12 months sim only.... Which cause it's 5G I use it for my internet as well. You can save so much money to spend on your kids and with these two people they should have two incomes. If you run your own business, then get a second job. It isn't hard.

2022-10-16 09:29:08 +0000 UTCi see you started editing inside n9 for YouTube , just a thought but as I've mentioned before each episode of this has some really good theater/movie like poster/art , here are the ones for series 2 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02n9g44/p02pwqzg was thinking it could be cool for your YouTube thumbnails. then again , it might look a little out of place with the rest of your videos :P hope ya doing good! i agree with ya skipping the episode , even the smallest of spoilers can be a downer , nice one pateron peeps for letting him know as i wasn't aware of it 👍👍

It's implied it was the mum who hit the loan shark with the car, remember when she's in the kitchen with the uncle and they mention her damaging her car and he sorts it out for her without charging her. Also, by Mia trying for her driving test again next year they just meant because that year's almost over so she can try again the following year :) I don't know many people with addiction problems except for an uncle and aunt who both died in their 50s due to alcoholism. And two of my cousins (brothers) are/were drug addicts. One is in prison for breaking in and robbing his own grandad's life savings as well as other thefts and god knows what else. The other one got (sort of) clean lots of times but kept relapsing, he also struggled with a lot of other issues and he ended up hanging himself. We were close as kids, he was so sweet and gentle but his homelife wasn't good. I only saw him occasionally as adults and when I did it always upset me to see what he'd become. He was still a lovely person even when he was addicted, just pitiful. And unlike his brother he never stole from family or anything like that. Addiction is so grim. I don't know how people cope when it's someone they're really close to :/

2022-10-16 01:42:05 +0000 UTCMy family has also been affected by addiction so this episode really hits home for me. I agree that it is depressing but it's also uplifting. The family pull through because of their love for one another. Love is the overriding theme here, and I think Steve and Reece achieve a genuine 30-minute issue led, character driven, kitchen-sink drama here, no attempt at parody, and not even a pastiche; much more their personal example. I understood it that it was actually Jules / the mum who knocked the drug dealer down. There are references to her "pranging" her car, the damage done, and the cost of fixing it. Alex (played by Reece) offers to cover the costs as he knows they're struggling and feels bad charging for Mia's driving lessons. We hear this, then hear about the hit and run and then Jules tells Trevor that Patrick told her everything. So I do think it was her. A very different episode (they're all very different as per the anthology genre) but this is definitely the furthest removed from comedy as they have got so far and the closest to a straight drama with no horror elements (12 Days of Christine is largely a straight drama but there is the occasional chilling moment and flash of (albeit mild) horror. Some fantastic episodes to come! Can't wait to continue watching your reactions to this show, Josh, and you were very wise to skip episode 2 of series 5. You will appreciate it so much more once you have seen Psychoville and will now remain unspoiled for Psychoville too! 🙏

2022-10-16 00:22:25 +0000 UTCI really like this one, it's a very different tone to most episodes, and it's one you may need to watch a couple of times to fully appreciate, but I think it's a great bit of TV. Of course, Inside No. 9 doesn't need to have a "twist" in each episode, I think the writers lament that the show is known for having twists, because people then expect one, and are disappointed when it doesn't happen. Or else they're looking out for a twist, and it affects their viewing experience, as they're not "in the moment". I think that makes this episode all the more clever, the fact that there is something of a twist, but it happens in the background. Take another look at some of the things Jules says, regarding her car being damaged, and the fact her son came clean about everything, so she knew about the loan shark... The addiction stuff hits close to home for me too sadly, (not me, but loved ones), but the way it was portrayed in Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room made me tear up a lot more! Although come to think of it this episode was much more relatable, and I love it for that, I just found "...Dressing Room" much more emotional! Looking forward to next weeks episode, it's one of my favourites I think!

This episode really shows the talent of each actor, their performances are so raw and realistic to what a lot of families are going through right now, and there is some real emotion in there too. Steve and reece are just so talented at what they do and with this episode they really connected with a lot of people, including you Josh.

In the big cities like London it's different - you get a lot of middle class arty types doing it casually at parties, and then they have the money to go abroad if they reach the danger zone. But then in all the smaller towns it tends to be just people in hostels; and people who're in and out of prison that do it. A lot of heroin addicts become alcoholics eventually because it's about 1/3 of the cost to be an alcoholic instead - and alcohol's the most physically damaging drug of all!
