A Deeper Dive into the P1 SteinWipe G-code – A Master Class. Let’s Make It Happen!

The launch of the P1 SteinWipe has been an incredible success, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to see so many of you downloading it and tinkering! 🎉 As part of my commitment to my amazing paid patrons, I would like to offer you all —a deeper dive into the nuts and bolts of the G-code; a Master Class for your better understanding. This video tutorial will be about 30mins to 1hour and will walk through how the code fully works line by line, the logic behind the features, my thought process in creating it, and how you might tailor it for your specific needs. After watching the video, you should feel confident to make changes and .. uh.. not crash your expensive machines! Currently, you can expect a simpler video for everyone soon to be posted to my YouTube explaining the SteinSwitches and how to copy the code into the slicer, and how to properly install the wiper, but that video will not be going into the code line by line.
I want to make this available soon, but I’d love to hear from all of you first if there is even an interest in it! Below is a poll to gauge interest—your input will help me decide the best way to approach this potential project. Whether you're a free member or a paid patron, your vote counts!

Hi John, I can’t say for certain, but I’d imagine that kit was engineered to be a direct replacement. Before you proceed, there are two things I’d recommend double-checking: Verify the Height: Print the mount and hold it in place by hand. Manually move the print head into position to ensure the height is correct. Only the tip of the nozzle should pass through the wiper—the larger flat surface should be very close to the brush but no contact it. Check Nozzle Installation: When swapping nozzles, make sure the threads are fully bottomed out. This ensures the nozzle isn’t sitting too low, which could cause issues. Hope that helps, and good luck with your setup!

2024-12-23 14:54:56 +0000 UTCIve been talking with so many of you guys about the X1 and it seems that is the machine I should have bought for this project because everyone has one (but me lol ). I might just get it while its still on sale on the Bambu site. I just feel I dont actually need the lidar features and dont really want all the extra stuff laided down on the bed so I would basically downgrade it in the startup routine to be a big screen glorified P1S 😂
