Hey everyone!
While we wait for the new Bambu X1C and AMS to arrive so I can wrap up the final code for the SteinWipe project—and as more votes come in for the SteinWipe G-code Master Class—my first thought was to jump back into SteinTrack this week.
But wouldn’t now be the perfect time to check in with all my PAID PATRONS to see what YOU want? After all, your support is what steers this ship, and with over 100 of you on board now 🎉, I want to make sure I’m working on the projects you’re most excited about.

2024-12-31 01:34:16 +0000 UTCThat's awesome to hear. I do see benefit in your smaller grid, much easier to adapt for drawers and more flexible. I had this idea of making an adapter of sorts using the magnetic base that could be attached to the gridfinity bin using magnets but have SteinTrack bottom, but when I thought about it further it would probably never work well, especially given the 20 mm vs 42mm size (would inadvertently occupy/block more slots than necessary). Definitely thanks for your awesome prints. Good stuff, looking forward for X1C version of the wiper.

You’re absolutely right, and I’ve decided to leave work a few hours early today to make some progress on SteinTrack, specifically these bin files you've asked for. 2024-12-30 16:30:47 +0000 UTCIs it possible to release a groundbase for the Steintrack that we users can individually trace and edit out for individual parts like scissors etc in our drawers. I have the Steintrack Grid now printed out and laying in my drawers for a month, and i cannot do anything with it right now. I understand the struggle with a rising community etc. but maybe its better to have one project that is „far and has multiple designs“ then 3-4 Peojects that all only scratch the beginning

2024-12-30 08:09:07 +0000 UTCThe community voted on a comment of mine on the original video and it is over 1k likes now. and my commitment to them is to do a public release of the steintrack for gridfinity. Ill be keeping my version here because I actually did things with the track geometry that gridfinity did not. But I have started producing files for the gridfinity profile with the spot for SteinTies to link everything up. Im just plugging away at it here and there but should have all the files ready for release in the coming weeks.

2024-12-30 07:49:01 +0000 UTCSo maybe this doesn’t make much sense and/or is not really doable (given the ratio difference), but… I really like the SteinTrack base with all the bells and whistles but reality is that there is a whole huge ecosystem of ready-to-print Gridfinity bins. Do you think some way of compatibility mechanism could be made to facilitate those?
