Shipwrecked... (3 alts)

The quaint Hawaiian town of Kokaua flared to live once again, this time not with yet another traveler from the outer space, but a human girl from just a few islands away. Mi'ara is her name, and Lilo would hit it off pretty quickly with her for being about the same age.

The two girls are practically joined by the hips after no time, exploring the town and island together, as well as sharing crazy stories - both of which surprisingly have no shortage of. But what Mi'ara doesn't have is the actual place in which Lilo's stories would take place. One of these are but a stone's throw away, and Lilo is about to take Mi'ara on a sightseeing trip!

With their change of clothes in tow, they went to a nearby lake that is apparently pretty deep. Mi'ara changed into her classic navy blue one-piece, and Lilo into her signature orange-red stripes swimsuit, and then took a deep breath before diving into the lake.

Mi'ara would pretty soon laid her eyes on the thing Lilo told her about in her extraterrestrial thriller tales - a shipwreck of an alien spaceship! She stopped in her tracks in awe, but was quickly snapped by Lilo who motioned toward a particularly large gash in the snapped fuselage, one that is large enough for a person to squeeze through. So they did, with little difficulties, and went on to explore the ship. Mi'ara would note to herself that the interior seemed pristine aside from damage from the crash itself, probably from a combination of it only happened recently and some alien alloy properties which helped preserve it. As they went around, she leaned on a surface and wondered if any of these alien tech are still working.

She would find out instantly, as the thing she leaned upon was a touch panel which would shut off a bulkhead, one which Lilo just wandered into ahead of her. She touched the panel again to open it, but as luck would have it, the sealing mechanism just used the last bit of its emergency power to seal the door, and wouldn't open again.

In the short time they were together, they would try opening the door by force, finding another route and trying to squeeze through a hole in the wall, all of which are unsuccessful.

This was a dead end.

One saving grace for Mi'ara is that she's very good at holding her breath, going for minutes at a time way beyond most girls at her age would do. She would make use of this ability to calm Lilo as they try to look for another solution.

However, they have indeed tried everything. So by staying there, all Mi'ara would've accomplished was watching Lilo spasm from lack of air before swallowing water. The last thing she'd remember before passing out herself was futilely yelling at her new friend's floating body...

Hey folks, long time no see in Fanbox. As I mentioned on Twitter/X (crazy that this change sticks...), I was away keeping my head down working on commissions and a project which I unfortunately can't share here in this account. This did mean that I would find no time to draw or even post... well, anything, so as my absence grew longer I eventually hoped that you'd just cancel the subscription on your own, as Fanbox doesn't have a "subscription pause" feature like Patreon and I wasn't posting anything anyway.

But the majority of you stayed q_q)_ the... money from Fanbox was never much when compared to comfortable costs of living in my place, but it did help immensely in supplementing my dayjob income which are not enough sometimes in light of delayed neccessities (like renoving our roof, which I was only able to afford recently). So while I do feel bad that I took the sub money without posting anything, I'm also grateful that you trust that I'll be back. Or at least, that's how I make sense of the number of subs barely dropping after 3 months of hiatus.
