Announcements... and Survey!

Hello everyone! I hope this post finds you well.

I've been having fun experimenting with a new artstyle recently, and it has helped me a lot in both streamlining the drawing process and having more fun drawing!

However, it did come at a cost. Some of you may already know that I started a new day job in recent months. While it has been great thus far, I have to commute for ungodly amount of hours daily. This has unfortunately negatively impacted my creating ability, leaving me very little time and energy left on weekdays to draw (not to mention the sore muscles... pain peko).

I figured that this could lead to burnout sooner than later if left unchecked, or worse. So I needed to make some changes, at least for sanity's sake.

This will be a bit of a long read, so please get comfy :)

The most important points will be in bold, so you can skim through those if you need a TL;DR!

Let's get the bad(?) news out of the way first!

1. Character Polls

The character polls was conceived as a vehicle for me to practice new things I would normally not do. For a time, it was drawing in monochrome to practice shapes and contrast. Now, it will be to further test the possibilities provided with my new artstyle. Either way, it's a way for me to practice drawing while exploring new ideas with you and your suggested characters and ideas.

However, it being pretty much a monthly obligation have weighed the most on my mind. So I have made the decision to make the following changes:

1. The Character Poll is now held every two months.

For immediate effect, the February poll will not be held. Meanwhile, the March poll will be open very soon (titled Poll Period 2, March-April), and the next poll after this will be held in May, and so on.

This will be the biggest change in the polls. It will allow me to deliver better quality while providing me a good breadth of time between each to work on other things and tend to my personal life with my now-precious time.

2. New ways to participate in the polls will be tested.

For example, the dual characters poll may see a semi-regular return. In addition, I will be testing new ideas for the poll itself. Stay tuned!

3. The resulting illustration will be in full color until further notice.

One of the biggest advantage of the new style :) Price well paid?

2. Support Tiers

I now have "pure support" tiers at 100 and 1000 Yen (~1 and 10 USD, respectively). Both tiers will receive no actual benefit; however the 1000 Yen tier will enjoy the same benefits as the 500 Yen tier, that is early access to my drawings in its original resolution, as well as the ability to submit a character and scenario to my Character Polls.

Regardless of your support tier, know that every little bit of your support helps me create another day in this troubling times. Even if it's not monetary and simply leaving a like and share/retweet, or just enjoying my work and talk about it, thank you :)

3. New Kind of Stuff?

This comic page of my new OC Ayula is only the beginning. Maybe a small doujin is next? Well, I certainly got this 8-page storyboard handy which begs to be realized...

...And me saying this is totally not a way for me to force myself to actually do it =u=)_
