For the full plot they are indeed essential reading, or else you don't find out what happened to Zuko's mother, you don't find out what happened to Toph after the war, and an entire subplot that essentially paves the way to the beginning of Korra

Oh crap you're right, I forgot about that-- well it's a fairly minor spoiler, if they see the first couple episodes of Korra that introduce the villain that'll be enough

You could definitely read the comics during or after Korra too. They won't really spoil anything for Korra, but they also arent necessary knowledge for it, and Korra's first episode I think is best if you view it without having read all the comics at least. The Promise and The Search are the ones that give the most Avatar closure and spoil the future the least

Guys, y'all are missing it. The sub move for air would be void or vacuum. Or controlling the density of the air. If the user expanded the density of the air it would become a vacuum where no sound can be transmitted and blood and body water inside someone would literally boil away because of the lack of pressure.. if they increased the density it would cause the air to heat up to the point of boiling. Also they could use the void to suffocate people or extinguish flames by removing the oxygen that fuels it. It could also turn water into steam rendering in useless. The only element it couldn't effect is earth

Just in case -VAGUE SPOILER FOR KORRA- ... I checked chat during live-stream, and it seems Rana saw the message about how while Aang is obviously gone (i think it was a reply to someone else), not all original characters are.

You guys said alot of stuff that will definetly be in Avatar Korra. So stay tunned! Also I recommend reading all the comics before you start that series. It offers a lot of context! You get more understanding about the changes between the end of the 100 year war and the beginning of Avatar Korra.

LMAO, Nahid the Fantastic Four has added a bunch of members over the years. Spider-man, Luke Cage, She-Hulk, Nova, Ms. Marvel are a few... The FF sometimes has to evolve from the core 4 to the family. That’s when they become the Fantastic Family. (I’m a huge nerd.) I think having most of the episodes being the Cozy 4 is preferred, but if Chris, Marketa or Navi ever want to join I’m okay with it. It’s your family. That would be like excluding Suraj from Lost reactions or you from Dragonball Z reactions. (However, never do crazy big groups like the Black Sun episode, that’s too many people. And make sure the Cozy 4 are sitting together so you can edit the others out, j/k!)
