The office was going to be closed for 10 days and Daly had a do not disturb sign on his door. So they are likely not to find him until after he's died. He was a creep but I don't think he deserved death? Or to have his consciousness stuck in cyberspace forever. So I don't necessarily see this as a happy ending. That and the office workers are stuck in a game with internet trolls. While the real boss/partner gets no punishment. This does give mean anxiety. Imagine having this game, there being an issue and being unable to log off.
