2018-01-11 13:20:33 +0000 UTCThis episode was just upsetting. The baby killing was too much for me. Also this tech would scare me. That dentist basically had to out himself to Shazia. Imagine if the person with that machine was a big homophobe. I thought the guinea pig thing was weird, but I guess they tested the technology on rodents? But I think it would have been better if she was seen on a nanny cam. Also the beginning. I'm just imagining someone running over me, not wanting to get in trouble, I'm still alive, and they just toss my body into freezing water to drown.

2018-01-11 03:34:30 +0000 UTCI think one of the main points/themes of the show is that both the tech and the laws and/or acceptance of the tech in peoples lives is both a way things COULD go, but definitely NOT a way it should go. The memory tech laws seem to operate like a psychiatrist where it’s private except where you have or may harm another person...the difference being that you CHOOSE to go to a psychiatrist. It’s not something we should want, but it’s not hard to imagine it happening if we let it.

And I agree with Chris...tech like the one they used in the ep should only be used for top tiered stuff, not to resolve a stupid insurance claim. Or if they do use it for small potato issues like that then there should be law set that anything you discover in those memories that are not directly related to the case cannot then be used to convict that person for the other crime since it was ultimately an invasion of privacy.
