I love how much of an in-depth look we get at Ba Sing Se and the culture of the Earth Kingdom. It's something that I thought was somewhat lacking in Book 1 with the Northern Water Tribe (not bad mind you, but not on this level).

Thanks for the upload! I noticed in a lot of vids you say that kids wouldn't be able to understand the full scale of the themes taking place. Not to be salty but i watched this when i was 12 and basically understood everything that was going on and how it related to real life for the most part, even the political undertones lol. I'm sure a lot of the ppl who saw this as kids probably think the same thing. Don't underestimate kids! Also I can't wait for u to get to book 3 and see the parallels between the fire nation and..... another western country lol. 3 guesses who

I watched this when I was around 9 years old (Around 9 years ago) and obviously didn't fully realise the depth, lore and secret messages this show presents but you still understand a lot of it, and being a child that's so imaginative, naive and innocent this show is written and presented so all ages can enjoy it! You guys underestimate children's minds..😂 but nowadays I can understand what you mean.. they have really dumbed down Tv shows... such as Teen titans go, Steven Universe, New Ben 10 series... etc (not that I watch them) but they don't respect the children audience anymore, they think children won't understand in depth story's, complex characters and some mature themes so they just put stupid poop jokes with stupid characters.. As oppose to us 90's kids, which we had amazing cartoon shows that are inspiring, motivating, educating and having amazing animation, (Ben 10, JL, Teen titans, ATLA, Kim Possible, Rugrats, Codename, Courage, Scooby Doo..) just my opinion tho, But that DAI LEE theme thooooo... From the music to Jet's brainwashing to that ending, lol this episode sure creeped the fuck out of me as a kid! And I agree with Suraj, not every kid would've been able to fully comprehend the intricacies of the show, especially with episodes such as this one, but it made us appreciate how deep the show was when we finally did comprehend it. I remember going back to rewatch this when I was much older and boy was it truly a masterpiece in my eyes. I loved the fact that Ba Sing Se was built up to be this last great stronghold left in the Earth Kingdom and the last hope for the Gaang to turn the tide in the war. Then when you finally get to the city, all of this is not what you'd expect, huh? LOL in a world full of hybrid animals, seeing just a bear is pretty strange when you really think about it xD There is no TLA movie within the walls Here we are safe Here we are free Now you pretty much know where all of this comes from :D

LMAO loved this vid, I thought it was funny as hell how Suraj pointed out Nahid is digging the Sokka title now &amp; reenacted the moment from the last video. I also adore how upset everyone is that Appa is still missing. I felt the same way when I first saw it. The cheer that went out when Zuko cut that piece of wheat in Jet's mouth had me dying here. But the puns at the end were the best bit, ever since the Toph puns started I've been looking forward to Rana playing along and it was cool to see her joking around. I agree with Rachel, who is telling you to be quiet during these videos? It's a reaction video, I want to see/hear your reactions. If I wanted to watch the episode I'd just put it on. In the last few days I completely rewatch the other reactions (S1 + part of S2 + the film) TWICE, while studying for my japanese test. And right now I had The Dessert one as background noise when I received the notification for this... the wait was totally worth it. I was excited to see your views on the political intricacies of Ba Sing Se.
