Great aftertalk discussion, always find your analysis and opinions so fascinating

What actually happened between Walt, Gretchen, and Elliot really isn’t that important. What’s important is how Walter remembers it and the chip on his shoulder he carries because of it.

Going back, I'm blown away by how amazing this show always was.

I couldn't agree more.

I always thought he left the company for the same reason he won't take charity from them, she came from a rich family, he probably hated how she didn't need him to provide for her. Him acting out in the meeting I'm guessing is what he's been wanting to say for maybe 20 years but never dared to. Like "gray matter" is not enough for Walt, he wanted all the credit and that shows up more and more in the rest of the show as well.

Love this episode and this reaction, Hannah especially has really good insights. That woman is gonna face severe withdrawals in jail like you guys said, but she’s also gonna experience some intense psychological pain as the high wears off and she becomes cognizant actions. A lot of addicts who do terrible things continue to become more addicted specifically to blot out the guilt and emotional damage. It’s gonna come back to her that she killed people and that she severely neglected her child

Emily

I agree with the girls - rewatching Breaking Bad having just watched Better Call Saul (where everybody is just trying their best), Walt is just a complete pos 100 percent of the time

autumn

nahid straight up calling for eugenics lmao

Barney Rudkins-Stow

Refusing charity and preferring to work with people like Tuco makes you a psycho

Man, everybody is always up Walt's ass about everything! So the man lied about Gretchen and Elliot paying for his treatment; big deal. What difference does it really make to them?! They can't be involved in his lie? How self-righteous are they?! Maybe ask yourself WHY he may have done what he did rather than treating him like he actually STOLE your money. Walt's dying of cancer. His life is a little stressful and out of wack. Is it really so strange that he did't want charity from his rich friends?

Loved the reactions by all, BTW. Great episode!

Nahid's talk about the cycle of bad parents having kids, and the unfairness and natural disadvantages this leaves the children with are on point. However, there will never be a time when governments of a free society have control over people's sex life/procreation. Maybe, MAYBE, forced chemical castration to those convicted of sex crimes or homicide; not simply as punishment, but to ensure that they have no opportunity to create a bad cycle. But there will never be a time when you "get your license" to have kids. It's a sad reality that so long as we live in a free society, some parents will choose to be imbeciles. :(

Is that the only Show Hannah is reacting to ?

Philipp Lembens

Unpleasant isn't the word for it , not even close .

Man I can’t WAIT till season 3

Walt’s a total narcissist. I don’t think Gretchen and Elliot did anything significant to him, he may have been romantically jealous or perceived some other insult that they probably didn’t even realise. You can’t die from amphetamine or opioid withdrawal, it’s just unpleasant. You can die from alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal as it can cause seizures/delirium tremens.

Liam Skoda

Pls do a double drop of breaking bad 😭

Jay Singh

Nahid i 100% agree with you about not everyone being allowed to have children. This episode and that kids situation is a perfect example of people who shouldnt be allowed to reproduce

Matthew Kopp

That kid's home life is a seriously upsetting situation. I rather have cancer.
