We do eventually get to meet that child Zoe mentions. There are canon comics that take place after the Serenity film that include Zoe and Wash's little one.
2020-07-01 23:28:46 +0000 UTCMal doesn't hate the prostitutes, he hates the profession, so he sees them as human beings who need help. That's why he always digs at Inara. Though seeing this episode again, makes me wonder if Mal's "Secret" has something to do with prostitution . Inara's is the only known secret, except for maybe River (unless her and Simon have another one). Inara wouldn't hook up with any of the crew, it wouldn't be professional and cross her personal life into her other life.
