Please do keep watching this show. Everybody is telling you this, but it honestly does get better half way through. It's become one of my favourite series and is very much worth the wait.

I know everyone tells you this but stick with it! about halfway through season 1 it starts getting good and it just keeps getting better from that point on! Definitely my favorite series ever and I thought it was hella boring at first too lol

Altough I didn't like the show in the beginning (like most people), it's fun to rewatch it like this and see how drastically all the characters have changed. Even Ward becomes awesome, as impossible as it may sound.

I didn't vote for this show, but they aren't wrong when they say it gets a lot better if you can get through the first half of the season. You should have one of you six just binge watch the first season so that they can tell the rest of you that the comment section isn't lying.

I know it's hard guys but it becomes an entirely different show towards the end of this season and beyond. Every season tops the last one. You get so invested in these characters. I really hope you guys make it to the end of the first season and just keep going from there.

I know Marketa catches alot of shit for not liking the "genre" shows, I'm not here to do that... but I will just say, based on how much she got attached to characters on Firefly, if she sticks with this show on a week to week basis with everyone else, she will probably end up liking this crew just as much as the Firefly crew, the character development, handling, twists, emotions and dialogue are similar to Firefly and other Whedon shows, even if he wasn't directly involved in this one outside of the pilot.

About that dingy blocking the hole. Explosive decompression with a hole that size would only suck someone out if they're right next to it and not able to hold on. If they manage to maintain a grip on something for a second or longer the pressure will equalise and the suction effect will end. From there on its an air issue where the amount of oxygen in the air is too low to sustain them so they will become extremely oxygen deprived. They have around 10 seconds at most before they become extremely confused and slow. This is why in the case of decompression the air masks that drop down only have up to 10 minutes of oxygen produced by chemical reaction. The pilots will do an emergency descent to 10,000 feet where the air is rich enough in oxygen. 30 years ago Aloha Airlines flight 243 suffered explosive decompression after a small section of roof ruptured. This caused the entire upper section of the plane from behind the cockpit to the front of the wings, approx 5-6m in length, to rip off. This included the walls and the roof, everything above the floor. The only fatality was a flight attendant who was thrown out because she was walking down the aisle at the time. All passengers only suffered injuries as they managed to hold on/had seat belts on. This plane landed safely at a nearby airport despite the catastrophic loss of structure and control lines that ran through that part of the fuselage. tl:dr Explosive decompression is a Hollywood only thing.

Season 1 is pretty cringe, but if you guys keep trucking you'll start to realize why it's loved

It gets better towards the middle, and amazing at episode 17. Please hang in there! Maybe you could watch episodes on the side, and skim through some of them until you get to the middle of the season? A lot of the early episodes aren't needed in order to understand the last part of the season. And watch WInter soldier as soon as possible.
