she's a teenage girl she just finding her way.... her pheromones are all over the place, she needs to talk to kyoshi another hot head the avatar that lives the longest and kills.. not every avatar was like aang or roku. Kyoshi's people lived in peace because the price of being a villian was death until roku who stayed neutral and allowed sozin to take power.

I know I might be asking for you guys to view the show with a little more nuance politically but really she's a terrorist? They are doing shady shit? This is a part of reason that season 2 is is so underrated and feel many make criticisms that seem to forget the whole picture. It's like people penalize Korra for being anti establishment or not showing "proper" respect to officials. I don't understand it. You just saw how Unalaq's rise to power was illegitimate, how the north INVADED the south and are currently occupying the south. You just saw how Unalaq is now open about his plans being self serving so how is she wrong to do anything and everything to help south? She should've have stayed neutral? We saw the truth and truth isn't neutral. If America invaded by [insert country]'s troops tomorrow should we judge someone in Ohio for trying to defend their home that once again has been INVADED. I think we forgive almost anything in that scenario and definitely the action of getting an army to fight an invading force. And Mako...O mako. What he did was deeply problematic. First it's like he didn't remember all the things I've already stated. He now knows what Unalaq doing so I don't get the disconnect. If you think it's a bad idea that's fine. But improve it or plan something else to help the people that being oppressed. But the idea that they are supposed to get by with the north there without actively fighting back is a lack of understanding or empathy on his behave. Secondly it's a betrayal of your girl and essentially Team avatar. You say nothing and go through the whole investigation saying you knew nothing of the plans with General Iroh. But noooooo he thinks being a good foot solider is more noble. Please. Love the reaction guys lol

I'd say that this is the last episode where Korra is THIS hot headed for the test of the show. In the second half of this book and all of 3 and 4, there's a much different feel to her character. Also, I like how Suraj said "it's not easy being HER girlfriend" lol

I agree that Korra's kinda hard to watch the first half of this season but after next episode she really grows into her own.

Avatars are neutral in the sense that they are like a 3rd party that comes in to peacefully resolve matters; however, they can't be COMPLETELY neutral because if say, war breaks out or a nation is wrongfully oppressing and colonizing another, then what? They just remain neutral and let it happen? Remember, an Avatar's duty is also to MAINTAIN peace and balance. Remaining neutral and doing nothing in the face of such conflicts would not be the best thing to do. We saw this with Kyoshi, Roku, Aang, and now Korra. The difference with Korra now is because of her personality and how she's so personally involved in the conflict, it makes you think she's in the wrong for not remaining neutral. That and Unalaq kept saying she needed to remain neutral, which now you should realize that he wanted her to remain neutral so she wouldn't get in the way. Also, Aang wasn't alone or sheltered like Korra. Remember, it was said that he got to travel around the world before he was the Avatar. He even made friends all over the world because of that (e.g. Bumi, Kuzon, etc.).

I don't think Mako is in the wrong there though, she easily accepted for Iroh to be inclined to his duties, but expected Mako, as an official officer, to ignore a direct question (obviously the president suspected somethign like this) from the president? She even made fun of his officer job in the argument they had before, that's no way to communicate with someone you care about.

I love your Korra reactions, so far i've become a patron because of them, even thou it's hard to afford i couldn't resist the "craving more" haha. Aang wasn't neutral during the war. Kyoshi wasn't neutral when Chin attacked her people. Why is it OK for them and not Korra? The Avatar's purpose is to keep peace and balance, and I'm pretty sure the North attacking the South is not good for balance. So I think it's perfectly fine for Korra to side with her tribe.

The only way I could figure it is that she has basically playing politics. Those two stupid detectives, while obviously incompetent, have seniority and rank over Mako, a rookie beat cop with a questionable past who hasn't gotten enough under his belt yet to warrant indulging his hunches. Even if she did believe him, she might have been constrained by something like that. It's not a perfect theory, but it helps me make sense of it.

I feel like the main problem this season is that Korra doesn't really develop in any positive way. She remains a reckless brat for a while, and then gets pissed at Mako for snitching about something that she was clearly trying to hide from him as if his was the only betrayal. She didn't even consider that he could be under suspicion as the spouse of a "traitor", she could've ruined his job. But ya know xD

I like season 2 but the Mako character got screwed by the writers

I agree with y'all, Korra Season 2 is still enjoyable, not as bad as the haters say. But yeah there are a lot of things that are frustrating, especially Lin acting stupid and believing those obviously terrible detectives, whether they're corrupt or just incompetent, over Mako
