[Early Access] Agents of Shield 1x7 - The HUB - Reaction!

I didn't find it that hard to sympathize with Skye. She was never on board with the way SHIELD works. She wants to stick around because she cares about the people on the team she's become a part of. So I guess I wasn't surprised she put their wellbeing above that of the organization as a whole. The overall feel of this episode would have been a lot different, though, if SHIELD hadn't been super shady about basically sending Ward and FItz in to die.

Skye is used to how things work on the plane. Coulson doesn't keep secrets from the team, and since Skye isn't familiar with the way S.H.I.E.L.D. operates, her actions make sense.

I found it so funny when they yelled at Skye to shut up when she talked back to Coulson about trusting the system then yelled at Hand for telling Coulson the exact same thing.

Fun fact, the Fitz and automatic doors thing wasn't scripted, Iain(the actor) just kept character and improv'd so they put it in the episode.

The writing in this episode was so disappointing compared to the last one. Not extracting agents from a deadly mission once the mission is complete seems like a terrible way to run a spy organization.

I'm glad y'all are powering through these, early episodes. While they are not the ones that grab you and hook you, important work is being done with character and world building. The writers on Shield don't do things without reason. Believe it or not, there is groundwork being laid for the entire series by these folks, some of which is only now, at the end of season five, being paid off. For me, episode 10 is where it REALLY started to pick up and the episode entitled T.R.A.C.K.S. is the one that hooked me HARD. I'm a hardcore Fitz-Simmons fan (and the actor who plays Fitz will astonish you in future episodes) so I'm hoping that at least of couple of you end up in our band wagon. Thanks for the multiple episode postings. Its so much fun watching new people react to my favorite show on TV.

I absolutely love this episode. Not only does it give us some different pairings that we haven't seen, but it also gives Fitz a chance to stand on his own two feet. He's honestly really smart and capable, and this is the first episode where he isn't treated like a child(except by ward). Yes these beginning episodes are slow. But to see people grow together, you kind of need to know them individually. This episode especially lays some groundwork for the team. Love the reactions! Keep it up!
