What are the thought provoking questions on Westworld?

2018-05-27 20:36:02 +0000 UTCI'm a hundred and fifty percent with Chris and Marketa on this one. Comparing shows that have very little in common seems abritrary, especially when they prioritize such different things. Expanse is faster paced, action heavy, and twist-filled and all in all a fun, adventurous Battlestar Galactica-like romp. It took a while to develop its aesthetics and acting and mythos. Westworld is a meticulous slowburn, full of thought provoking questions, amazing set pieces, and some of the best performances on television in recent memory. You can enjoy both without putting the other down, but I also feel Westworld is FAR more nuanced if you're going to compare shows, so falling down that rabbit hole myself, Westworld is a thinking mans show and Expanse is, well, slightly above a CW experience with some legit science thrown in.
