Community creators' take on mockumentary series like Parks and Rec/The Office/Modern Family! Tying this genre into what was currently happening with Pierce was a great idea. He prodded at Jeff and some serious stuff resurfaced that he has been trying to bury. All in all I thought it was a good look into the character of Pierce. His admiration of Annie is sort of his only redeeming quality lol

He is a lonely, crass, selfish old man, and he constantly does hurtful and outrageous actions as a means to lash out at the world and his 'friends' for how alone he is. How alone he seems to always have been, since he was a child. His father clearly had a lot to do with it, which also explains his obsession with Jeff and Jeff's father. Not saying I like Pierce or even tolerate him most the time, but a part of me does pity him and his cycle of self destruction.
