The writing is so strong this season that even slower paced episodes like these still provide enough thrills and suspense! Locke admitted to one of the early mysteries from the season was a good faith sign from the writers that perhaps they would get around to SOOOOME things eventualllllly.

2018-06-06 12:49:26 +0000 UTCSawyer reading to baby Aaron is one of the most endearing things, effectively showing his capacity for good. This of course clashes with his darker, and admittedly more compelling (and much sadder) side, as seen in episodes like "The Long Con" next season. I'm interested to see how Nikki reacts to his (and other characters) constant growth. Hopefully she comes to fully embrace their realistic, complex and multi-facted depth and sees things less black and white (until season 6, of course). As always, the writing for season one is so strong, even the slower 'fallout' episodes are fantastic. Glad to see Margi joining in on this one. Always enjoyed Sayid's episodes.
