I don't understand why Mickey and nahid find it so hard to believe that zaheer can actually be such a threat even though he wasn't a bender. Bending isn't the only thing in the world. Martial arts and swordsman ship. Remember Ty Lee, the original chi blocker, that girl took out a group of benders like it was nothing. Also, sokkas sword master, probably one of the best fighters in the world. Zaheer was able to master air bending so fast was because he was already a master martial artist, disciplined in mind and body, really balanced and spiritual. And, its pretty clear by his intro statement that he knows alot about the airbenders, that he spiritually identify with them.

Yes Suraj, that Earthbender, Ghazan, is compressing and producing friction so fast that will cause it to heat up and make lava. The waterbender, Ming-Hua, does not have any arms. To her advantage, she uses water as an extension of her body similarly as a warrior having a sword and using it for the same purpose. It is also somewhat similar to Toph who was blind that used earthbending to see things that surround her. These benders contain unique abilities and techniques that not no regular bender could take them down as Zuko said.

Even though they thought it was wrapped up no new season of a show is usually guaranteed so every new season of any show is like starting over. I just think with any show you get what you put into it. I know that’s true for me. Like a lot of others seasons 3 and 4 are for sure my favorite. They knew they had a season 4 during season 3 so it was planned well

Also if Zaheer is against the world government. An A+++ criminal it would make sense that he understands some basics of airbending style for offense. Just like Iroh took the time to understand the basics of waterbending, earthbending, and airbending during the war. He is using the air as an extension of his arms like you would a polearm or sword and extending the air around him when he spins or twirls. Not too much intricate technique involved but effective. He knew how to fight as a nonbender and just uses his basic understanding in addition to the physical motor action he already mastered. Not making airscooters, just slicing using air.

In the world of Korra no one has fought an airbender in about 50+ years. Tenzin never went around fighting people and never forsaw an upsurge in airbending. No one really knows how to fight one except for close family friends of the Avatar Aang family (Linn, Zuko, maybe Iroh Jr., etc). So Zaheer has not been sitting in his cage. He has been keeping fit in mind and body, not losing conviction in his beliefs.

Book 3 is fantastic and they'll come to understand why Zaheer was locked up the way he was even though he had no bending abilities. Zaheer is what Kylo Ren should've been, instead of some emo goth kid.

Remember when Katara and Toph were captured after trying to swindle the one town in ATLA? They were put into a wooden prison because no one can bend it and it is hard to draw water from it. Only fire benders can get out of there and Guzhan (for reasons to be explained later). So firebenders are usually held in metal cages that will burn them if they try to get out. BUT the next one is special so that wouldn't work.

Also, as for Zahir, it hints it in the first episode but he is a master martial artists and clearly has studied Air Nomad culture. Maybe he mastered Airbending technique for use in hand to hand combat, and when he became an air bender he basically just put power to techniques he already possesses. Anyone can learn Airbending martial arts without being an air bender (since its almost entirely based off of a real martial art). That’s my take on it!

From my knowledge, it seems like zaheer was somewhat of an air acolyte and obsessively studied airbending culture and traditions to guide him and when he got airbending it was just natural by then. He is kind of like scar from FMAB.

I’ll help you guys with Zaheer. Imagine Sokka except more ruthless and less humor, with Monk Gyatso’s wisdom and air nomad culture knowledge, and a martial arts expert. Now make him into an air bender and you have a formidable opponent. Also, remember that most people don’t have experience fighting airbenders so even someone who just got it will appear to have mastered it when fighting against other benders.

What do you even mean "not wanting to be obligated to post on time" and "making impossible promises"? They NEVER to my knowledge promised an upload at a specific time, just the DAY. That means even if they upload the video 5 minutes before midnight its still ON TIME. Some people are just impatient, and seemingly have nothing else to do than cry about spending money WILLINGLY for a service they are not happy with, even though they get precisely what they signed up for.

Learning how to bend an element is heavily reliant on your state of mind. Korra couldn't learn airbending that quickly bc she had a problem with the conccept (not the physical aspect). Zuko couldn't firebend bc he lost his ambition at one point (he lost his inner fire). Zaheer is a pretty good airbender largely because of his philosophy. You guys have heard some of it, but it's worth paying attention to it closer in the future.

The White Lotus in the first episode already stated that Zaheer wasn't a bender. So going to the extremes to lock up a nonbender should tell you that even as a nonbender, he was very much a formidable threat. Also, this won't really be explained onscreen but the reason why Zaheer could airbend as good as he can after only a few weeks of having airbending is because he's already a master martial artist. Any master martial artist can take anything (i.e. pen, broom, sword, etc.) and use it as an extension of themselves. Airbending is just that, and considering using the elements was always said as using an extension of oneself, it's really no different. There's I guess another reason why he's so good and it's already hinted during the first episode, but I'll wait for more to further explain. Overall, I wouldn't really call Zaheer a master airbender. Compared to Tenzin in terms of airbending, he's skilled but he's no master. Speaking of Tenzin, despite how funny a lot of the things he was saying to win people over, he was also desperate. The prospect of bringing back an extinct race and not be one of the last airbenders anymore would certainly make you feel that way imo. Zaheer's team is shaping up to be a Dark Team Avatar! Ming Hua is voiced by Grey DeLisle by the way!! ZUKOOOO!!! Also, sorry to break the news, but Kai's VA isn't Aang's VA. It certainly kind of sounds like him, but it isn't. Aang's VA sadly isn't doing VA work anymore.
