Yess, finally this is what I want to see. People paying attention, good reaction and discussion, and enjoyment. I mean I actually liked Pat in this episode. If we lose all the nitpicking and stuff like that with less people than so be it, even though in a perfect world every normie would be watching and loving AOS. But trust me guys you are going to wish there were more then 22 episodes per season.

Just wait. If you actually keep watching. Season 2 is just better. Each season get s better. Season 2 has so many twists and turns. The character growth is top notch.

also nothing in this show is done on a Whim and if you watch the first half of season 1 you will see so much foreshadowing and things you didn't realise. but also from here it only keeps getting better.

Skye encryption the hard-drive and she made it so you have to be a specific location to unlock it for extra security incase it got into the wrong hands, so thats why they have to go to a location to decrypted it.

Yeah, and Skye sort of confirmed it when after she found the body and was talking to Ward, she said they should go tell Eric, and Ward said he just talked to him, THEN she knew for sure. You could see like a second of shock/ hesitation when she knew it was Ward for sure.

In episode 15, when the brainwashing was lifted, Ward pulling the trigger on May was already a hint of Ward's true intentions. It's something to think about....

if you rewatch the lady sif episode, you would now see that Ward really tried to kill May during that fight scene. That cheeky comment he said to May right before pulling the trigger was all Ward

I've suddenly realized that Pat's not stupid, he just enjoys most shows they react to on the most basic level, and doesn't analyze beyond that. Because when he actually pays attention, he actually picks up on things the rest of them missed. Good job Pat.

lmao i love how into it pat is even if i DON'T AGREE WITH HIS GRANT LOVE. wait you just called maria hill minor?? BRUH SHE'S FURY'S RIGHT HAND!!! SHE WAS IN INFINITY WAR WITH HIM!! and pat honestly don't feel that bad about not being into it on your first try. i straight up quit the show a few episodes in and my friends had to convince me to pick it back up because it got better. i think for me personally i love s1 now bc i've been able to rewatch it a few times and so i know what it all leads to. the early episodes are something you appreciate a lot more upon rewatch, i think. you're able to pick up on the threads they put in place early on and you can really appreciate the genius of the writing. it's hard to appreciate as you're going bc sometimes they're pretty subtle.

I'm not sure if this entirely accurate, but my understanding is that Marcus Daniels has these abilities to absorb light because it is Darkforce energy. The Darkforce dimension is actually from the comics, and this isn't the only time it has made an appearance in the MCU (Agent Carter, and a certain MCU show that came out on Hulu recently.......)

With respect, I don't believe this tale is true. I've also seen it "reported" but only third hand, never from an actual source. Logistically this would have been nearly impossible. The premiere and the air date of the episode were simply too close together. It's very unlikely they could film the episode and get through all of post production and make the air date.

Very good reaction. This is the episode which convinced me that Chloe is good actress. I really enjoy Skye / Beardy McTraitorson dynamic. Pat is going to love season 2 Ward. Coulson subplot was okayish, the cellist was really nice connection to movies, but the villain was kinda cheesy and not really threatning. Honestly I agreed with Suraj, it was not good acting. Rest of the season is lit, you will love it.

Welcome back Agent Pat, I like how everyone called he was on Team Ward. I like Pat because he roots for the bad guy most of the time

Oh I really liked this reaction! Great job! And yes, you're pretty much done with filler episodes and monster-of-the-week episodes. From here on out, it does over-arching stories that break up the seasons, but still tie into each other. The best part is that they bring up mysteries and resolve them quickly only to bring in more questions that make you want to keep watching. There are story beats and character arcs that occur that you would never suspect from season 1 and they bring in a lot from the comics. It really is a superbly acted and well written show - one of the rare shows that gets better with each season. I can't wait to see your reactions the next few seasons. Thank you so much for sticking with it!

Was it not clear that May and Ward's relationship was just sex. I dont think its really a love triangle at this point.

Also going forward they do split the seasons into 2 to 3 different story arcs that are very well connected. AOS are very good at pacing. Not a lot of filler episodes.

I think one of the reason it took so long for the show to take off was because the plot twist that changed the foundation of the whole serie could not have happened until “Captain America Civil War” came out, so the writers knew in advance that even though they were making a show called Agents of Shield at some point during the season SHIELD would be destroyed. So in some way the first 16 episodes were to establish the characters, their relation to each other and make you like and care for them enough that the HYDRA plot twist would blow your mind. Regarding Suraj’s comments about wanting to rewatch the old episodes to see if he can notice things about Ward he didn’t notice before, you can’t tell by watching him from all the way back to the beginning of the season but when you rewatch like 3/4 episodes prior to him being revealed as a HYDRA agent you notice some things he says and do that are ambiguous. Also can we all agree what a phenomenal job the actor playing Ward did (Brett Dalton) I mean as much as I hated the character my first time watching the show I was in awe with Brett’s acting. That scene when he leave the interrogation with Erik Koenig and walk down the hallway completely chill, unbothered, cold blooded and then find a dark corner to extract the pin he purposely put beneath his nail to fool the detector and for a second he let himself feel the pain of it??? That was scary good acting But I also want to give props to Chloe Bennet, like Navi pointed out imagine the torrent of emotions she must have felt in that moment when she realize the man she liked, her mentor was a traitor / murder who’s been lying to her and their entire team since the moment they met... Like, damn the girl is allowed to freak out and break down for a second, but she still manage to stay level headed enough to put the penny back and regain her composure to not let it transpire that she is aware of Ward’s true self. Also May’s mom is indeed referring to Maria Hill, who is Nick Fury’s right arm so yeah I think she is above Coulson

Did anyone make the connection to the Avengers movie? The cellist that Coulson was dating when he showed up at Stark tower, that they talked about after he died? This was that cello player. I didn't hear anyone say it if they did make the connection. It wasn't just that he saved her in the past, but they were close for a while after that.
