2018-07-03 20:07:51 +0000 UTCExactly. I don't get why people don't understand why Goku doesn't always defeat foes himself, since there are a few times he theoretically theoretically could. He's aware of his own mortality and wants to make sure that things won't fall apart when he inevitably dies. And considering each enemy is more powerful than the last he needs to push his friends and family hard to make sure that they're strong enough.

And Goku letting Trunks and Goten be the ones to kill Buu is not stupidity. It was the perfect test because Goku is not always going to be there. In fact at the time he was dead. The earth needed capable defenders other than Goku and training the next generation is smart.
