They cut away and didn't show it, and from experience that usually means the character is safe and will probably wake up in a hospital bed next season. At least I hope so. Grace is a very layered and troubled character and I really hope there's more of her still to come. If she really is gone, I'm curious to see how this will affect Tommy. He will probably go to all out war with Campbell. Especially now that Tommy has point blank killed Kimber and taken over his assets! Season 2 is about to be lit ya'll stay tuned!

Then the fact that he wanted to put Grace's business out there to potentially get brutally murdered for being a snitch. So yeah, I think they're qualified to hate Campbell.

2018-07-04 20:45:12 +0000 UTCAlso rather confused as to why you hate Campbell so much. Grace betrayed her entire cause by not just sleeping with but falling in love with their enemy. She was also doing this while under a military commission. If she had done this on a more traditional battlefield she would have just been executed. Not to mention her actions fell under the treason crime in the UK. Which carried the death penalty, along with piracy with violence right up until 1998. So her death was going to happen anyway had Campbell reported her actions. Also I would much prefer a quick headshot from Campbell than a public hanging. Also Campbell has done nothing wrong throughout the entire season. Everything he has done is by the book for the police and government of that time. He also showed massive restraint by not creating a bloodbath and all out war with the peaky blinders the moment they were confirmed to have the weapons. Instead he entered a temporary unholy alliance to limit the collateral of achieving their objectives. Albeit from the government's perspective this was more due to the necessity to limit the public exposure of the guns. Regarding Campbell's love for Grace. This began as a father daughter type love as a good friend of her father took over the care of the daughter after the father's death. This over time converting to a more man and wife love is in my opinion not creepy. You have to remember that this man has cared about this girl for years at a deep level. There is no familial blood connection between them and as such there are no real barriers for a non familial love to develop. Although I do agree that the limited and sudden on camera coverage of this change has made it appear far more creepy than it is.
