who else was sad that they pretty much completely edited out all of skye and ward's conversation? that was one of my fave moments in the entire season 1 - "you did NOT just say that. it wasn't PERSONAL??" + skye calling ward out on his twisted logic & calling him a nazi + him admitting his feelings are real and her rejecting him anyway are all part of what made me really start to love Skye's character. the emotions between them were so raw and their dynamic so complex that i wish that the normies hadn't taken her refusal to let him die as proof that she still had feelings for him...

If Skye's looks could kill, Ward would be DEAD this episodes. Love the chemistry between her and Ward when they are on screen together, not romantically but in general. Such great casting on this show . . . . especially when it comes to my favorite character, Fitz . . . but that's a discussion for another time. Hyped for more shield reaction from you guys. Keep on rocking. PS. the editing in these reactions has me lmao!

HINT HINT NUDGE NUDGE ;) to answer your question: no. if i were skye i wouldn't have let him live. he's a murderer and a nazi. HELL NO. but i also understand why she couldn't do it. that's not who she is.

I think Pat is confusing the definition of a FILLER episode. It's ok to say that you didnt like it, but this was NOT a filler episode.

One thing for sure about AoS is the writing is not weak. I would say that they play the long game with a lot of their plotlines but it pays off big time if you stay for the following seasons. The twist and turns, and emotional rollercoaster this show ends up taking you on is crazy. Also the "spy stuff" picks up in early S2 episodes, so I think y'all will become hooked early on next season, if you guys continue watching.

Hey guys, really enjoying your reactions for this show. I was a 4 season late starter to SHIELD but, I did enjoy season 1 as I binged the seasons. I think that what you will find as you progress through the seasons and look back on it, is that season 1 was actually very well written. The foundation that they build in this season really provides a wealth of material, in terms of both character development and plot, that allows it to grow and become better season after season. I am very picky about the shows I watch and I think that SHIELD is one of the best that I have watched. If you like spy shows, did you ever watch Alias when it was on? If not, I would highly recommend it.

Yeah I mean shield had being going uphill, while Got has being going downhill, especially season 7. Its one of the reasons I love AOS, and would like it to go on for many more years just to see what the writers would do.

The thing with SHIELD compared to GoT and other 'fine dining' is that they start off really strong but get weaker the longer they go on, while SHIELD starts off weak and gets better every season.

Didn't get a chance to chat about it because we're some sidetracked fookin Normies. thinking about keeping some notes for S2 (which we ARE watching btw! :D) Do you think they will show some of Coulson's recording during Captain Marvel movie? That was a good episode, brown Pat is right in terms of rhythm compared to the last few episodes but that’s because most of the episode focuses on the team’s reaction to Ward’s betrayal, and yes it was a very spy-ish episode. Also, having watched all 5 seasons I don’t feel like I can objectively answer Chris’ question at the end about wether I’d let Ward live or not. But I can definitely say Skye letting him live is more indicative of her moral character than it is any residual feelings she may still have for him, I mean there is quite some space between “I don’t want to see you murdered in cold blood” and “I still have romantic feelings for you”. I mean she was 100% honest when she told Ward he makes her want to throw up.

I love shield, but I think the highest this show gets is like expensive and high quality fast food. Like Red Lobster or Shake Shack. Don't think its GoT level of fine dining but like rich people fast food.

Did they get that coulosn was behind the tahiti project? I mean they didn't mention it at all in the discussion. Or something about Maria hills inclusion in this episode, did they like it or what? And how in the world could pat consider this episode a filler, I mean what, how? Besides that a great reaction, would have wanted a little more about what you liked and stuff, but I'll guess we'll have to take it next time.

Two weeks ago Chris was kinda out. Pat was all in. Now Chris is kinda in and Pat thinks this ep wasn't very good. The Normies are in flux...I think they'll stabilize in early S2 and we'll have a defined group going forward.
