Man this show always manages to defy the norms of a standard comedy sitcom by throwing in an episode or two every season that equally comes out of nowhere and finds a way to stir you up in an emotional way.

The sad thing is that we don't actually know that his mom was just reading the sign. His first interpretation could have been right, but this is the way BoJack is going to remember it.

I wasn't able to laugh quite like you guys did, but I suppose I'm glad you found a silver lining in it. I agree 100% with Mickey - top ten shows of all time for me. This show is a master of subverting expectations, from the eulogy itself, to the ICU, even to Butterscotch's death during a duel (from falling!). Hits like a hurricane.

He literally says "how the hell do you expect me to learn five pages of dialogue in one day? (...) No show should have that much talking. TV is a visual medium".
