Sketch post!
Added 2023-04-06 00:10:56 +0000 UTCHey! New art is coming soon! In the meantime, I've been considering posting some sketches and process pictures here, so I figured I'd break the ice on that by posting the processes of my past couple pictures.
The first picture of each is the initial thumbnail I worked off of. I usually keep it small and work with a brush big enough to get the main idea on paper. The idea, at least, is to keep myself from getting too involved with details until I'm ready to blow it up bigger, but sometimes I get ahead of myself lol
From there I sketch over the thumbnail and increase the scale and go from there. Typically I do a couple sketch passes just to hammer out details or the placement of things, but sometimes I have Too Much Fun and end up going a little overboard! The Pixel picture especially, you can kind of see all the sketch layers fighting with each other as I figure out how best to lay everything out. It's by far the most time-consuming part of the process, but I do think it's fun trying out new ideas and seeing how they work!
