2022-10-05 03:01:31 +0000 UTCIn regards to Loki, it was noted that his initial leading of the frost giants into Asgard was "just a bit of fun to ruin his brother's big day". However, when he learned in Jotunheim (the Frost Giant's realm) that he was different because his skin turned blue when touched by one of them, that's what raised the doubt in his eyes as to whether or not he was truly who he thought he was. Him being revealed as the son of Laufey was what pushed him over the edge to become evil. He sent the Destroyer (the giant metal flamethrower man) to Earth to kill Thor and the other warriors since they were the only ones who knew the truth. Him murdering Laufey was simply a way to gain honour and admiration from Asgard as he becomes their new king, but Thor stopped him.
