2024-09-04 23:24:57 +0000 UTCsuper late on this but oh well; the reason the government is sketched out by SHIELD is because Nick Fury is a loose cannon and is known to disobey orders he doesnt agree with (I.E. not allowing the nuke in avengers 1) any who its bee super fun rewatching the MCU alongside you, cant wait to see your reaction to civil war <3

2022-06-27 20:25:28 +0000 UTCWinter Soldier and Civil War are probably my favorites that don’t include Loki. 😝 I’m a lifelong Hiddlestoner and he pushed my buttons as a bad boy let me tell you! But, as far as the movies go, those two I mentioned are probably the best IMHO. The others tie 😂

She kisses him right before he jumps on the plane to go stop Red Skull from bombing the world into pieces, and then of course, he puts that plane into the water, so they never see each other again until he's unfrozen 70 years later. Also, I felt like you were confused by the name Black Widow. That's Natasha's code name. I feel like it was used in Avengers, but maybe not. Or maybe you weren't confused and I'm just reading into your reaction! As far as whether it can get any better than this, you'll have to decide for yourself! Everyone has their opinion on which MCU movie is the best, although it's generally agreed that this is top 3 or at least top 5 among most fans. It's for sure that you're in for quite a ride regardless! 😀

2022-06-27 01:21:04 +0000 UTCOne of the Russo Brothers was in the movie, playing the doctor who patched up Black Widow. He also has a small part in Avengers Endgame, but you've got a lot more movies to see before you get to that. You'll enjoy Guardians, as it's not as heavy like Winter Soldier.

2022-06-27 00:05:38 +0000 UTCThat's, uhh, not Captain Canada. That's Batroc the Leaper. They say in the movie he's Algerian, and his origin in the comics has him from Marseille, France. He's just a French kickboxing mercenary. Still awesome that they got GSP in to play him though, and it helps tease the rest of the AMAZING fight choreography that comes in the rest of the movie

2022-06-26 21:40:23 +0000 UTCGlad you loved it. This is my favorite MCU movie by far. The writing, the practical effects & fight choreography. It's barely even a superhero movie, and more of a spy thriller. If the first movie establishes Cap/Steve as a character, and the first Avengers establishes him in a world out of his own time, this movie is what propels him as a character going forward. He's spent his entire life believing in the U.S. government, and following it's orders. Who is he now when he can't trust that entity? Fun fact, this movie also came out around the same time as the whole Edward Snowden/NSA deal where the government was illegally "spying" on all of it's citizens, so it was coincidentally very topical. Other fun fact, the Russo brothers (who directed this movie) also direct Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers Infinity War & Endgame. They're all some of the best the MCU has to offer, and if you liked Cap's character in this, just wait until you see where he goes from here. Already can't wait for next week!

2022-06-26 21:37:56 +0000 UTCWe start the movie off with Captain America fighting Captain Canada. The guy Cap fights on the ship is UFC legend George St Pierre. George was really throwing all those kicks and doing flips and shit. Then they took Operation Paperclip, a real thing where we saved Nazi's after WW2, and used that as the basis for this glorious conspiracy theory movie. Throw in all the twists with Bucky being back, Falcon joining in on the fun, and even sneaking in a Pulp Fiction reference on Fury's tombstone...... I really, really, really, really fucking love this movie lol.
