My FIRST TIME Watching DIE HARD

After watching this film, I have to say that in my opinion, DIE HARD is 100% a Christmas movie!

Funny.. Yes smoking in the airport was a thing, smoking on a plane was a thing.. ha.. oh how times have changed since the 80's. Fists with your toes doesn't help you fly.. it helps bring down the tension from flying. I fly all over for work all the time and I actually do this, because of this movie. It does help after along flight... :)

Fun fact: I took a film class in my undergrad (mainly focused on screenwriting and film structure), and we studied this film in depth. It's literally a nearly perfectly written movie: everything brought up/into the movie early on pays off by the end of it. And the structure is spot-on to the minute. I think this is why people love this movie so much, even if they don't realize that that's why they like it: the human brain has a way of knowing if a movie's structure is good or bad subconsciously, so if the structure is off, you think to yourself, "That wasn't a good movie, but I don't really know why." This movie is pretty much perfect. One other movie we studied in-depth like that that has the same affect and is written just as well (where everything that's brought into the movie pays off) is, interestingly, the movie Tremors, starring Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon. HIGHLY recommend that one, too, even if it has a slight level of cheese to it because it's an early nineties "monster" movie.
