Conbini Challenge: Pizaman! | January 9, 2016

We have been looking forward to doing some comparisons between Japan's wonderful convenience stores for a while. We will start it off with one of Eric's favorite snacks!

Japanese pizza is a mess for the most part. Super thin crusts, weird toppings (seaweed, octopus, mayonnaise, etc) , comparatively bland flavors. It can be hard (but not impossible) to find a good flavorful standard slice of greasy American style pizza. We know a really good place in Shibuya though, they make perfect NY style pizza for a good price. -E

Are the pizzas (in general) true to the flavor like in the states, or are they Japanized versions? Could you explain the difference between Americanized and Japanized flavors?

Hahaha, sounds like Australia is taking cues from The States instead of Japan! -E

Ah man anytime you guys go into a convenience store it gets me giddy. It brings me back to visiting Japan and the sheer joy of harmonious commercialization, efficiency and convenience. 711 and its competitors here in Australia have the most disappointing selection of over priced food consisting of: dry meat pies and old sandwiches. So sad. 711 here also were just recently exposed for running a nationwide systemic scam to exploit new foreign workers and basically holding them to ransom for little pay. I just want yummy fried chicken, instead we have hard meat pies and exploited foreign workers. Wahoo. Thanks for the video. Chicken.
