Eric: I used to be in this band
Added 2016-08-01 03:15:10 +0000 UTCWhen I was about 20 I joined a band my friends had started called "Kamikaze Escape Plan" to do a short tour around the east coast.
Our local newspaper had a weekly section dedicated to teenagers and was all written by them and put together by veteran punk rocker Dave Smalley who had played in Dag Nasty, All and Down by Law to name a few. Some of KEP's members had become friends with Dave through the newspaper thing and he offered to produce a demo for us at his friend's studio which just happened to be the unbelievable Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, Virginia. His friend just happened to be the owner Don Zientara who had produced a ridiculous number of legendary punk records by bands like Fugazi, Minor Threat, Scream, Dag Nasty, The Bad Brains, etc.
Needless to say, for us it was an incredible opportunity. I still am really happy with how this came out for us.
