Adjudicon - Bestiary entry 006

Hey everyone,

Here's the last monster for this week - the adjudicon.

"An adjudicon is a celestial assassin sent from the Upper Planes by vengeful deities to hunt down a single individual who has grievously wronged a god. These shapeshifting beings can pose convincingly as mortals for the purposes of reaching their target, but often leave a trail of bodies in their path as they pursue their prey."

Hey thanks Nick! We've heard a bunch of times now that people want trash mobs/simpler monsters mixed in as well, to the point where I think it's a matter of when and how, not if, we're going to do it. Your idea of variants of a single monster seems like a pretty good idea to me - we could use a similar amount of art for the release, do three statblocks that are simpler, and the lore would be consistent for all of them. I think I'll throw a new poll up and see if people want more variants for things like goblins/gnolls/etc. With the new "bestiary" format, we're trying to keep a somewhat consistent tone, but one thing we could maybe to do bring things together is to make our own "mook" variants. Questiary's goblins, maybe. Anyway, thanks for the kind words - we've got some brainstorming to do :)

Hey Questiary, I just wanted to drop you guys some kudos for the shift in production. While I agreed with the mentality of quality over quantity, I was saddened at the perceived loss of new trash mobs. So, I was curious what the end result was going to look like in reality when you guys decided to change strategies, but I must say, you’re knocking it out of the park! Not only can I tell that there is more care and thought put into each creature, but the pacing of each release makes consumption of the content much easier too (which I hadn’t considered prior to seeing it in action)! I still hope to see trash mobs worked in somehow (maybe treated as a trio in a single release, with only slight differences between the three, so that it still functions as a single monster from a creation/production standpoint?), but regardless, I’m loving the new direction and hope it’s working out better than you guys had hoped on your end as well! -Cheers
