Changelog for version 1.1:
Pattern Divisions is designed to be a fast, fun way of generating rhythmic ideas for up to four voices. Each rhythm is derived from making simple changes to the same basic pattern, so all four voices will play in a way that is rhythmically related, either subtly or overtly.
The 16-step grid at the top of the device is used to set a rhythmic pattern, which is the starting point for the four "divisions" beneath. Each division will trigger a MIDI note after a given number of notes in the pattern. The resulting rhythms can then be offset from the playback of the other divisions and assigned to a particular MIDI pitch. Pattern Divisions also supports MIDI pass through, so you can layer its output with any other MIDI sequencing inside of Ableton.
Note: This device is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis - if you are able to, please consider paying above the £4 suggested price in order to fund a free community copy for those who are unable to afford the device otherwise!
