Patron Exclusive Sidestory Vote
Added 2021-07-01 19:19:23 +0000 UTCWell there's still a bit of time left on the vote but given the tilt, I feel safe doing this. So, instead of disparate bonus updates once a month I am going to be starting a second story set in the same world as Forge and Threads, which will receive a full 2,500+ word chapter once per month to start. These chapters will only be available to patrons and will be posted here, for now. I may choose to publish them on another platform once enough of a backlog is built or if the story completes.
So to that end, these are the story seeds you can vote on.
1. Journey to the East: More avid fans may recognize this, several vignettes features Gu Xiulan and her journey to and arrival in golden fields have been commissioned. If selected, those vignettes will be used as the base to expand this into a full story about Xiulan and her effort to understand herself and find a place in her family. The most similar to Threads and Forge.
2. Argent Companions: This piece will be a story taking place in the past of the setting, following Sect Master Yuan He from his days as a disciple until the final confrontation with the great khan. A more classic fantasy story.
3. Digging Deeper: Getting more distant, this idea features a group of Sect experts in the land of the Celestial Peaks capital province of the Empire. Their charge is the Imperial Decree to clear the ruins and passages which fill the roots of the mountains and to catalogue and recover the Secrets and devices from the Strife of Twin Emperors which litter the vaults. Dungeon fantasy, with a side of intrigue.
4. The Treasure Fleet: The Treasure Fleets of Jing sail every year to chart new lands and bring home treasure, and plunder. Aboard one of the great ships, a disciple finds themselves washed overboard in battle, and miraculously awakens, alive and clinging to the detritus of a broken ship. Exploration fantasy. CYOA elements.

Option 1 should be Journey to the East. That's what i get for making silly references to actual classic literature huh?
