GDC
The annual Game Developers Conference was earlier this month! For those who aren’t familiar with what GDC is, it is an annual conference for game developers (duh!) held in San Francisco. The event has an expo floor, where folks can showcase their games at, as well as a variety of roundtables, talks, and lectures lead by industry professionals on whatever game-related topics! It is also a big networking events — folks meet with 3rd party partners, pitch their games to publishers or… meet with press! Which is what we did! A handful of us (Tyler, Laura, Alx and myself) meet with some press folks to show them an early preview of the game! Keep an eye out in the next few days for… maybe… potentially… articles about POSSESSOR(S)!! Here’s a photo of myself playing the build with Tyler (who did an amazing job voicing the early game’s characters! I can’t not not hear him when I play now 😅), Laura and some folks from PC Gamer. 😊 We were in the little coffee corner because we were double booked during that time (I had to run between meetings aha) and the other room had another Devolver game being shown to press! But you know, we made it cozy. 🥰
I don’t really have more photos of the other spaces, but Devolver were, once again, so nice and well organized for this! They take such good care of their devs (we were fed for breakfast and lunch!) which, as a producer, is nice to have to just show up to something and not have too much to worry about. 🥺 Here’s the only other photos I took:


Environment Art
Y’all really like seeing enviro stuff, so here some more! Danny has been taking on the mantle where Matt left off, and continued work on an early region on the game! We internally called this region “Streets”. 🤫

Design/Animation
Someone kindly pointed out after we shared a gif of the Parry (and our exploding vending machine who I love) that Luca wasn’t reacting when the Parry would activate which is something we wanted to address at some point. Well, this prompted us to look at it and make a change to it! In exclusivity: Parry 4.0 (maybe I should show one day the iterations we went through with this one aha 🤔).

Our very own Ivan did some Luca fanart this month! I really can’t wait for you to meet more of our cast!! I desperatly need some Rhem fan art, as well as [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] 🥵
