Farewell to TWC!

Recently, we‘ve received a ton of messages from you, telling us that you can‘t reach or even find our mods on TWC anymore. Many of you also asked where our mods went. Fact is, they are still on TWC, but the public can‘t see them and we no longer have access to them. These changes were done by one person only – TWC Master Admin - GrnEyedDvl (His site profile - https://www.twcenter.net/forums/member.php?21866-GrnEyedDvl).

It was done without telling us aything, no information or reason given why our work is being treated like that. I believe that this is no more than classic anger, hate and an absolute lack of respect and tolerance towards others. With the moment you become more successfull than some can handle, people of all sorts pop up and try their best to harm you and destroy your reputation and work. After numerous requests for information, the response we got was that 10 years of work was removed within a blink of an eye because we ‚spammed our own topics‘. This so called ‚spam‘ were regular updates about our mods with links to changelogs and further information. Calling that ‚spam‘ or advertisment is ridiculous; mods updated by modders and when they publish this in their own subforums it suddenly becomes advertisment or spam…. all because we provide links to already exisiting and written changelogs rather than doing them all over again just for the sake of TWC. This does not seem to be a valid reason to delete 10 years worth of work without any warning. When this issue was raised in  the past with the other admins it  was settled without any issues. So GrnEyedDvl waited for more than a year and when we didn‘t get any intel about breaking the rules or anything, deleted everything and came up with this excuse. 

Fact is that he is the boss of the site and as an owner can delete what he wants at any time without any opportunity given to defend yourself. We recognise that, but nevertheless we consider this as a deeply disrespecful move considering our past 10 years of co-operation. It’s just the worst sort sort of feeling when someone like this runs a place like TWC and can instantly wipe out all your work on which you spend so much of your time, helped that place grow, attracted new people, provided tons of suggestions how to improve it and much more in you long shared history. 

We are and have always been modders and we love what we do. We put thousands of hours into our mods and large sums from our own finances to make it running smoothly and growing, keeping it all fully updated, improve them with more content and support every TW game with complete overhauls since Shogun 2. We have established, based on fan suggestion, our Patreon acount back in 2017 so that if anyone who wants to can support our work which we have been doing for over 12 years. All mods have always been, are, and will always be entirely free for everyone, but we are grateful for every Patron we have, without these wonderful people none of this would be possible anymore in such a big scale.

But sadly this also attracts dark places of internet and many people from other side who dedicate their time to only hurt and cause damage. 

TWC story is sad one, or, more appropriately one with a bitter ending. It was the place where it all started so long ago in Empire TW. We were there witnessing how it all changed in all those years and how it stagnated in some areas where it shouldn’t. For mods, places like these are no longer suitable and there are far more effective paltforms for modders and mod users. Still its not nice to see all of our work being removed in a second and without any way of defending ourselves just because of some crazy reasons and nonsence grudges someone can have with us when all we do is mind purely our own business. 1 click, that was all that was needed for 10 years of work to dissapear. Power in the wrong hands can be very cruel, but that is up to everyone to make up their own opinion on this. 

We are just sad for all those people who were still using our hosted sections on TWC, came there for feedback, support, downloads and many other useful informations for modders and mod users we had there since we kept all fully updated and informed.

Everything we do is shared on all these places and all is fully updated so you wont miss anything what we do and preparing for our fans, when you will be using these platforms.

We are too old for this silly internet drama where certain individuals must stir trouble just for troubles sake. We mod, we have modded for a very long time, we think we doing it good and stand behind our work. We love our community we managed to build in all these years and we are trying to be for them every day and we gonna continue in this!

TWC chapter is over for us. It was an interesting yourney for the 10 long years with a very sad and crazy end, but still there is a good lesson for all of us. I wish GrnEyedDvl realises what he did, that his actions only hurt people who care about twc and bring nothing good. World is not ending, life is far more then hate, anger and envy. Stop searching for conflicts where none are needed, we can do far more when we cooperate then when we fight vs each other. We forgive you, but still pissed what you did to our fans and loyal twc followers, dont expect apology or hosted sections to return, not anymore, for that is required completely different level of character atributes and those are hard to find these days.

PS: Removing us from twc modding awards aswell (again without any words when our work was nominted by the rules and in time) was really childish and dick move!
