Hello everyone, Team Radious here!
February has arrived, and with it even more awful weather and depressingly short days. As usual, the second month of the year is not treating us with anything special, and little of note is scheduled to be happening. Nothing at all, in fact. Well, there is the small matter of Total War Warhammer III releasing on the 17th, but we don’t see how it is relevant?
Joking aside, the next couple of months are shaping up to be some of the busiest we have ever experienced. Creating a Radious Overhaul for Warhammer III will be a massive project, in many ways unprecedented in its scale when it comes to the amount of effort required from our team. Not only do we have to tweak, adjust, and expand all the new and exciting factions, but we also must transpose a lot of the content that we have created for the previous games, and make sure that all its aspects are interacting and balanced satisfactorily. This is not going to be a simple copy and paste operation, it is going to require hundreds of hours of brainstorming, work, and painstaking testing. With the equivalent of 5 years’ worth of our previous content that we must adapt, it is going to take a considerable amount of time. Nevertheless, we are excited to see what the future has in store for us, and what we can achieve with the game, and all that we ask for in return from you is patience! Naturally, some of the more advanced and complicated elements of our planned changes, such as tweaks and changes to the UI, additional faction reworks, and high-quality cards for new units, might come a little bit later down the development line, but we are going to do our best to get everything ready as soon as we can!
This is also a good point for us to share with you some less pleasant, but very important, news. In recent days it has become clear to us that we will be unable to start the development of the mod, as we had originally planned, as soon as the game is out: Radious’ wife began to unfortunately develop some health issues, and is scheduled to go to the hospital on February 14th. As such, he will be unable to work on the mod until the matter is settled, and it is pretty likely that she will either have to stay there for some time, or require his help afterwards to recuperate properly. Either way, we apologise for the delay that this will cause, but we feel that it takes precedence over modding. Hopefully it will not result in a delay longer than one week, but it is not something that we can promise.
All of our proposed changes and additions have been researched and prepared in a way that fits into the existing lore and the broadly understood “feel” of the new factions and their gameplay mechanics. If you wish to know more regarding the process in which we have been laying this groundwork, especially when it comes to the new rosters, feel free to revisit any of the six entries we have written about them so far in our Warhammer III Development Blog, which can be found under the following links:

We are going to be doing our best to keep all of you informed about progress, whether it is going to be through further Development Blog entries, or our social media. As such, if you are as excited about Warhammer III and our future Overhaul as we are, or simply want to engage with us, feel free to visit any of our various pages, profiles, or servers. We welcome all feedback and suggestions, and even a couple words of encouragement can go a long way in helping us go through this long and arduous development journey with a sense of togetherness.
Lastly, and we are as tired about asking for it as you are hearing about it, if you enjoy our work and you want, and can afford to, support us more tangibly; please consider supporting us on Patreon. Every small amount helps us ease the burdens of the real world and makes it easier for us to focus on the development of the mods:
Well, that’s it then. The next time we are going to meet in the form of an announcement, Warhammer III will be out, and we will all be busying ourselves with taming the cold landscape of Kislev and the treacherous Realms of Chaos. We look forward to the experience, and we hope that you are all going to be with us while we will be working hard behind the scenes to create our largest and most extensive Overhaul yet.
Yours, now and forever,
Team Radious
