The Summer Of Quality Upgrades

Hey everyone! 

As you guys know throughout the year I’ve been aiming to do some upgrades! We’ve moved into the new office, got a proper professional studio light, new editing software, a new webcam & a new microphone! 

But this Summer I really want to focus on improving other aspects of the office in order to improve the quality of our videos!

- Sound Proofing! 

If you guys haven’t seen our room, we have three walls and then the glass windows. I’d like to put sound proofing on all the walls (except for the glass). 

- Side note: Ballpit Balls!

If you guys don’t know this room used to be a ball pit in our house. The balls are going to be hung on the wall. I want to put some sound proofing under the ball strings. Maybe the ball pit balls may help the sound? No idea 😂

- A Video Camera

If you guys don’t know, Elgato now has a camera link that basically allows you to attach a real actual video camera to OBS. Our last web camera upgrade was actually a camera Arnold gave me after he upgraded so I haven’t made a webcam upgrade with the Patreon funds

Funnily enough Arnold is also trying this camera link thing, so I’ll let him test it all out first before I buy one...

- Fixing Up Our Background

For our background, I have a bunch of posters and I’d like to buy some suction cups to see if I can attach them to the glass that way. That would also help not to rip them and make them more interchangeable. I’d like to cover all the glass with posters, even the ones that may be outside of the frame of the camera.

- Windows & Light

This is related to the last “upgrade”. First I need to cover the window that’s in the office with a real curtain instead of a piece of black cardboard (lol). When the posters are on the windows, that’ll help to block out some of the light from other rooms as well. I basically want to make the room as dark as possible so we have better control over the lights
