7th Of November Update (1.3)

Hey everyone! I wanted to make an update for patrons, since it's been a week and I have some more things to discuss with everyone!

1st, thank you so much to all the new patrons! I know most are here for the RWBY Season, but I do encourage you to check out our other reaction series'! Remember to join the Discord server if you haven't already to get the most out of your perks, I want everyone to have a great experience!

For anyone that's new, I basically make these posts to inform people of my plans, and especially to inform to you, the patrons, and pitch what I am spending the money you gave us on.

Patreon Goals:

We hit 2 patreon goals this month! We have now restarted Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood reactions. It was a reward at the $400 goal, and we went down from the goal some time ago. Now they've been restarted since we got it back. We also achieved the song cover goal. Everyone was going to get some song covers anyway because I have a Christmas Vocal show in December and want to do a cover of Trust Love. But if we keep at $500 we can do some interesting stuff!

A LOT of Early Access:

With both She-Ra and Dragon Prince there are going to be a lot of videos coming out for patrons. Right now as I type this 5 She-Ra videos are being uploaded to YouTube! Even though it's a stressful time of the year we are working hard to do the most we can.

Twitch Revitalization:

This is the big one! Patreon money obviously goes back into the channel, and so I've been wondering what to do with our recent success.  This room is in desperate need of being sound proof, however, to be perfectly honest I don't want to spend the money to sound proof the room if I may not stay here. I've seen sound proofing screens and may look into getting something moveable. I only have 2 years of University left and so theoretically only 2 more years at home. I'm not sure about if I'll move out or not for sure, but I don't want to leave my mom with a room full of sound proofing.

As far as moveable things go I really want to buy an actual camera and the Elgato cam-link. But the camera I want (and Arnold has) is well over 1000-1500 dollars, and I don't think that's feasible, even at $500 a month.

So I was thinking - what could I spend the money on that could help us... well, make more money XD And I thought that people LIKE to sub to people if they have nice emotes / loyalty badges

With all the games coming out in the month of November and December and my longing for gaming getting stronger as school crushes me, I think it makes sense to fix our Twitch page. YouTube will inadvertently benefit as we can use the same emotes / sub badges for YouTube Members as we get for Twitch. I was thinking Hunter and I really need to try to do some sort of YouTube stream outside of the podcast to encourage YouTube Members to join, but Twitch streaming is guaranteed.

Twitch right now:

Our twitch is looking a LITTLE sad sis. My hair isn't blue anymore and these panels haven't been updated in quite some time. Not only that, but we have gen:LOCK emotes and gen:LOCK's fate has not... necessarily gone well, so I won't be making more character emotes in the future (except maybe for Miraculous). I kinda want different emotes where it's my "character" but dressed as Ladybug, Joker from P5 etc, but that'll be a long time. I want to work on basic emotes first.

Emotes:

Arnold has a TON of emotes and I'd love to get there in the future someday, but until then, we need to consider the basic emotes. When you consider basic emotes, I want to focus on what will be used in a "gaming" chat. When someone enters the chat, they use a "hi" emote. When you die, people wanna post a die emote etc. So for the first 5 emotes, I would like to commission:

1.  A "Hello" Emote

2. A "Death" with crossed out eyes Emote

3.  A "Facepalm" emote

4. A "Happy" / "Smiling" emote

5. A "Angry" emote

I think this covers the range of emotions well and what people will use in the chat. I may change angry to crying, since angry could be similar to facepalm, but I think this would be a good start. All of these are going to be my character, which is my personal branding now.

Right now the emotes I'm looking at from this artist who makes really cute art, is 5 for $180. I'm picking this artist because they make more then emotes, and I want everything in the same artstyle. I had another artist I was looking at, but she doesn't make panels. I want everything to be uniform.

Loyalty Badges:

I mentioned this in the discord but for the badges I want different crowns. We're able to have 6 loyalty badges for now, and so I basically want

1. A small, simple crown, more of a circlet.

2. Slightly more detailed circlet type crown

3. Slightly larger crown

4.

5.

6.

Obviously you guys get the idea. Emotes can't be super super detailed so I'm looking more for the size and the "bling" on them, so to speak! There will probably also be around $180

Panels / Away Screen:

For panels, we need a donate, about, rules and youtube/social media heading. To get away from everything just being "my face", I want to do different mythical creatures. So around the donation one, we'll have fairies, for about we'll have mermaids, for rules we'll have some type of guardian type one, not sure what kind though, maybe just some kind of knight, and for the YouTube/Social Media heading we'll have a unicorn or something like that.

For the Offline screen, I'd like a sleeping one similar to this

But with the princess theme. I actually have a canopy bed, so I'd like something like that, a Calxiyn character sleeping peacefully, maybe with the tiara on some sort of side table

I also want a Be right back screen. Tbh I don't think a "stream starting" stream is super important and I always just start right away when I'm live, but a BRB screen seems like a good idea. To keep in with the theme of the panels, I was sort of thinking that my "BRB screen" could be a Calxiyn character feeding a mythical type cat (maybe a Unicorn if the cat situation doesn't work) with "Be Right Back" text. I'm not sure about the price for these, but whatever the Patreon doesn't cover I'll use YouTube earnings or take it out of my own pocket. I really want to do this for "my birthday", basically, so I'm willing to pay for it with the money I make at work!

This artist also does merch commissions and gives the license for you to sell merch, so I'd really like to build a relationship with them that is long-lasting into the future!

Please let me know if you have any questions about anything I've talked about in this post, I hope you look forward to these new plans!
