Wow, that is actually pretty crazy they might have took inspiration from these events.

During WW2 when Japan invaded China Chinese troops would sacrifice entire areas and populations to fight the Japanese. Similar to what Jet does here. In fact the Chinese blew up a dam to wipe out Japanese troops but killed thousands of civilians as well. I believe that event was the inspiration for this episode.

2021-02-10 18:55:50 +0000 UTCSokka has really great character development. Even though he's a bit of comedic relief, he is very smart and very skilled. One of the things I love about this series is the character development.
