I always cry when Carl gives Russell the Ellie badge at the end. say what you want about Pixar but they have absolutely cornered the market on emotional character development.

2021-05-01 07:21:30 +0000 UTCThere’s really only three things I have to share about the film. 1) the name of Muntz is a sort of Disney inside joke because before Walt Disney made Mickey Mouse he had a cartoon character named Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Muntz was the name of the man that distributed the cartoons through Universal and actually took the character and cartoons from Walt so he had to come up with a new character thus how Mickey was born. 2) the voices of Carl and Muntz might sound familiar to you as Ed Asner (Carl) while being a famous actor and appearing in various tv shows and films over the years you would know as Santa Claus from Elf. While Christopher Plummer (Muntz) was Captain Von Trapp in the Sound of Music.
