Underrated Don Bluth film. The naturalistic animation style always impresses and I think it's held up really well. Love Bartok the bat!

If you're interested in some more historical background that this story is based off of, there is an interesting mini series on Netflix called 'The Last Czars'. It is part documentary and part high-quality reenactments (these parts feel like a tv show and not like a documentary) to tell the story of the fall of the Romanovs. I thought it was done really well.
